1959 Indiana Mr. Basketball and IU All-American Jimmy Rayl, "the splendid splinter" passed away this weekend.

Not only does his record of 56 points in a game (twice) still stand today, but by his admission, with credit to Greg Doyle, he once hit 532 free throws in a row. Jaw dropping shooting ability.

Imagine how much greater his game and career scoring stats would be had there been a 3 point line back then.

Would be be a luxury if we currently had someone to hit 32 in a row.
