Rather than giving coaches the money for the buyouts I would be in favor of them staying on the payroll. Make them park the cars or be a greeter at the front. Maybe better yet fire the morons who gave him these stupid deals to begin with.

Again, his counsel and advisors deserve significant kudos.

That's a lot of jack for a HS coach.

There are no more excuses or ways to sugar-coat the play this season.

We have started EVERY game poorly & looked unprepared.

So, I will kick-in the first $25 & we just need a million fans to do the same.
IUFB has a million fans?

Who knew?

I suppose you could get Alabama fans to pitch in . . . if they want to pawn Saban off on IU.

It’s called parody by exaggeration. Nobody with a reasonable mind thinks I or anyone wants this. In the words of Troy Aikman .. take your dress off
It is not a good parody which is the problem. We had chants in the USMC while running I wouldn't never say again because times have changed. Quit excusing your poor taste as parody.

In the early 90's, I was in graduate school at Akron U, Gerry Faust got a big contract & drove the program into the ground. He had a big contract for that time, so the University did not fire him but made him a special assistant to the University President & paid him to basically file papers. He finally walked away after a year.

Why do we do this dumb shit? For that matter, why does ANY school do this? I mean basically you could go 0-12 for 3 straight years, and really have no fear of being fired. And why? Because its gonna cost the school $25 million, AT A MINIMUM to do so....

Just incredibly stupid....

Isn’t it “cause” when the program is as uncompetitive as it is?
Not sure, but doubtful. I'd say "with cause" would be along the lines of a scandal, cheating, etc....But tbh, I have no clue.

Just imagine how Texas A&M feels.

The anguish about IU football seems to be about the unrealistic standard set in 2020 and the number of people still thinking a national search would have come up with a "name" coach instead of coach Allen. Too many forget about 2019 with coach DeBoer as OC coach Allen as DC/HC coach.

I question coach Allen's ability to move IU into the upper stratus of the B1G. I do think we need to see how the next two years go with recruiting and play on the field. The B1G is getting tougher every year as schools hire coaches and new schools are brought in. Can coach Allen bring in coaches and players that can compete in this new environment, we will have to wait and see.
