The class as it sits is ranked 13th out of 14 in the Big Ten.
I am not obsessed with stars and rankings, and I trust this staff to be able to coach kids up and put them in positions to succeed based on their skill set and the coaches' scheme.
However, it's stupid to not acknowledge that the more stars on your roster, the better the end result will generally be on the field. The schools that consistently get the best 4-5 classes in the B10 usually finish at the top of the conference (with occasional outliers to be sure).
I looked back over the last 5 years, and Wilson's classes usually have 16-18 3 (and/or 4) star players. We currently have only 8. To keep the on-field momentum going, we need more good players in this class. I hope we get them!
