18-14. 12-6 in their conference. They start 5"10, 6"1, 6"2, 6"5, 6"9. They dont have much size. Braxton is their best player. He averages 16 and 9 at 6"5. The 4 guards they start all shoot around 35-36% from 3. They shoot 70% from the Charity stripe.

Not a real good team. Not beating them by 20+ is a failure.

So no romeo and no 4yr sr JM? No fitz, either? At home and you want to play "next yrs team" ? Nice reward and no thank you. I dont care if JM didnt play well against OSU, a kid who fights thru dislocating his shoulder but sticks it out for 4yrs and turns down the NBA for another hr gets to play, the coaching staff has seen the underclassmen play for 9 months and you'll have probably 3 more new faces next yr

Dumb question but how does a team like this get in over say UCLA?

how old are their guards?

IU needs to beat that team and play well. Figure it out. Play to win.

I think they will struggle again with Arkansas but would have the edge at home. I think they would struggle with Wichita St., a team that has only lost 3 times in about 2 months.

I would put WSU, Texas, and NC State in similar positions as IU. There are some good teams in this tourney. Let's hope IU finally plays to their potential and gets some much needed wins.

This is not like the 05 team.

The have one of the worst defenses in college basketball, per kenpom.

Should be an easy win. They are almost the worst team we have played all year.

Yes, last summer juwan tested the NBA waters to see if he was good enough. Got feedback on his chances of getting drafted, made his decision and returned for his sr yr. Made all the papers and was talked about on this very forum back in July and August point is I think you made a bad opinion of using next yrs players and not the ones who would probably not be here and now trying to be a smartass but looking more like a dumbass

No because there is a difference in turning down the nba. If they say heat you will probably get drafted late first to second round and you decide to go back for another year, then you turned down the nba but if they tell you that you won’t be drafted then you didn’t turn down shit now did you.

They sound like a team built to beat the pack line defense. It could be a long night and a short tourney.

the nba turned morgan down, not the other way around. i can't even understand the second half of what you wrote

He's an OK player. Certainly not a leader and certainly not an All-American.

He is more than ok. There are only a few All Americans every year. Morgan is a very fine player. He does not have a natural position in the NBA because of his size and skill set but he is more than an OK player.

There is being disappointed in how this program is going and how this team did (I am there) and dishonestly coming down on a player (not there with you). Not every guy has the make up to be a leader. Juwan may not, but he is a pretty darn good player. Not great but certainly more than just ok.

If IU plays like it did in January, this is not a "guaranteed" win. Play like they did last four reg season games and they can win the NIT.

IU should be able to play next year's team a lot in the first game; maybe in some others. Where we safely can, we should develop next year's team as much as possible. I think Romeo and the seniors would understand that but if they don't they should; they'll play plenty in several of the games.

He won't do anything different, same players, same rotations........hoping to see Damezi, Jake and Race with significant minutes ain't gonna happen.

Not so fast my friend. I'm thinking Providence will beat Arkansas.

morgan just looks worn out to me. it started mid january. he looked exasperated at having to carry the entire load. i remember a couple times when he was fighting over and over for rebounds and he would look at his teammates like, "is anyone ever going to help me here?" he doesn't appear to be enjoying himself and looks like he would welcome the end. more likely i have no idea what i'm talking about

Last year he carried the team by himself several times and it looked like he'd stopped enjoying playing. He's had a little more help this year but you're probably right.
