Sporting News says Temple is after our DC Bryant Haines for HC position

Was Rod Carey there?

And fired?
After having success at Northern Illinois, Carey was named Head Coach in 2019 and Coached through the end of 2021 at Temple at which point He was fired after posting a 12-20 record over the 3 years. Somewhat unusual to fire a Head Coach after 3 years, especially when one of those years was the strange 2021 COVID Year.

on the contrary, guys like Al Golden and Matt Rhule have parlayed success at Temple into some pretty big raises. But agree on the whole, Temple is a tough car to win at. Need momentum quick or you’ll never make it.

I'm sure Cignetti knows enough about the shit shows that are Temple and Philadelphia to keep his men informed to not make that mistake. There has been some past success there before NIL. But normally they chew up and spit out HC'S every 3-4 years. Not even Bill Cosby can donate enough $ to NIL to make this deadend into the Grand Caymans. Toledo is heaven comparatively.
