Not gonna happen after playing arguably our best game of the season. He’ll be gone at years end, I’m sure. Lots of losses remaining to fully seal his fate. But I doubt there will be much of any meaningful chatter after this particular game.

A Coaching Change now and an Interim Coach for the remainder of the Year won't help. If You want to assure change sit on Your Season Tickets, don't show up for games. They may have Your Ticket Money, but if They lose Parking Revenue, Concession and Ancillary Revenue, and begin to have to count empty seats, They will get the Message.

I wish this would happen. 8,000 only at every game would send a message.

Heck I'm seeing almost giddy people after just getting close tonight. No way he is gone the bar is so so low tonight was almost a victory to many.

So, it’s not going to happen now after our best game of the year. But, it’s definitely going to happen because there are “lots of losses to seal his fate”?

I say the exact opposite of that second sentence.

There is no chance he is fired because everyone is expecting “lots of losses to seal his fate”, heck, expectations have cratered so far that winning 2 of the next 4 could get him an extension.

I'm not even worried about it. There is no way anyone who cares or oversees IU bball doesn't see what a laughingstock we've become. He'll be gone at the end of the year.

Perhaps I was being passive aggressive.

Truth is, I don’t think anyone knows what will happen. Not even the decision makers as there is always some possibility that they can change their mind.

Could I see us having a big losing streak, and that sealing his fate? Sure.

But, it seems that is what is being penciled in. But, if this team keeps playing as hard as they have the last 2 games, we will win some games. Certainly more than people are penciling in. Despite Woodson, IMHO.

Can't blame Ballo. In fact, nice to see some emotion. Rice was beyond stupid on that inbounds play. Should have gotten the ball to Galloway immediately for the pick and roll which worked great in the 2nd half. Woody just standing there watching it is beyond bad. No way does he try to call a TO as he said. Mac's best game in college, and a great effort from Ballo, Gallo, Leal, and Goode in the second half WASTED cuz Rice is an idiot, and Woody didn't call a TO to set up a final play.

Why can’t this team play like they did last night every game? The writing is on the wall. Renaue is a foul machine. Do not have him on the floor with Ballo. Have him come off the bench. Leal and Rice is a toss up. Leal provides defense so I would go with him. Trey. Goode. Mgbacko. Ballo. That’s the starting 5. Bring Rice and Reneau off the bench. I can’t recall being more frustrated with an IU player than MR. Such a wasted talent. He has never figured out how to play smart and play without fouling. Pisses me off.

Because none of Woodsons teams have shown any level of consistency. This was one of the “good efforts”, there will be a few more, hopefully we get PU at home. But they’ll also have a few more bad efforts. We’ll lose as many games coming home as we win, probably with a couple being blowouts. At Kohl Center maybe?

I put the odds pretty close to zero that if Woodson misses the NCAA tourney, that he’ll be our coach next year. he’ll be let go soon after the last game is over.

Did you read Painter's post game comments? Exactly what he said: "we were lucky Galloway didn't have the ball; he'd torched us the whole second half." Sad when the opposing coach is trolling your coach.

This... Exactly. Frustrating to see him regress since his freshman year.
The problem with Renau on Offense is that when He gets the ball inside, the Offense grinds to a halt. Nobody moves. At least Ballo is a threat to pass the ball out when He receives it inside, and the Defense has to play Him honest. Renau is a black hole and easy to defend because He can only move in one direction and shoot left handed over one shoulder.

He wasn’t trolling, just saying what everyone watched the second half.

Yes, still have to play the games since 100% certainty is not possible. But, starting to be a good possibility we do not make the tourney again and donors can’t be happy because since they look foolish to fund this season and they don’t like to look foolish. But, you are right they could double down on foolish.

I think you are spot on with the effort observation. We were attacking in offense and on the glass. Rebounding is alsmot 100% intentional effort. Of course sometimes the ball decides who gets the board, but our guys effort last night defensively, offensively and on the glass was the best it’s been all season. We win a lot of games when we play with that level of effort and intensity for 40 minutes.
