What if Saban foresaw a weak team, and that’s why he retired! What if ALL SEC is weaker, or simply parity as a result of NIL.
If SEC so strong, why did the Big 10 (Michigan and now Big10 Washington) beat both SEC schools (Alabama and now SEC Texas) in last year’s Championship SemiFinals?
This year, Alabama lost to Vandy! If IU played Vandy and won, would that help IU’s SOS? And don’t forget, Alabama played Mercer (who lost to Stamford), but somehow that doesn’t hurt their sos.
Tenn lost to 5-5 Arkansas, who lost to 3-7 Ok State.
Ole Miss lost to 4-6 Kentucky
Notre Dame (obviously not SEC) lost to 6-5 Northern Illinois, but if IU beat Northern Illinois, would that help their SOS?
IU beat the 2 teams in last year’s championship.
