It’s a management issue. Not coaches. Coaches in part but the club spends way too much money to be this bad. Terrible signings.
And I guess academy misses. Are there any stars from the academy? I mean that 92 crew that gave them glory years were academy kids
Who have the good United players been in recent years. All that money. Are there any? Building on my last of course you had scholes and Rooney and that crowd but fck cantona. Ronaldo. Tevez. And some total randoms. Fcking berbatov. Berbatov played soccer like he was in an over 40 league. He was fcking brilliant. Where are the players? Player recruitment dropped off massively.
Rashford. Mainoo. There some guys around the PL (like Garner at Everton or hell I can’t remember where). Yeah, Feegie held the senior team together after the Glazers came in but it’s been a management issue for over ten years now. It’s not that the glazers didn’t spend money but it’s mostly been shorter term splash signings. The whole Ronaldo thing was dumb. Sanchez and DiMaria being busts at United. Bad roster mgmt. Like you said ****ing Mount starting over Mainoo (injury? I can’t even bother to look).
And ****ing Puke Shaw when you have DeLigt there but he’s so afraid of his own shadow he can’t play. ****ing Lindleof would have been better.

He was special. He was the goat for me when I was a kid. You get away with “the hand of god” and there’s a special place in history for you.
He’s 4th with Pele for me. Then a host of others. Pure obscene skill the three I named are unmatched
Am I exaggerating by saying if the US doesn’t get out of the group stage in next years World Cup it will set US soccer back by at least a generation?

I won’t even know what to say. I was in two national camps leading up to 94. Text weekly with a number of players on that team. They were literally nobodies. College guys who played their balls off. I don’t know what to say if this team doesn’t play welll. Group stage depends on who you draw. But god damn these are players playing at massive clubs. The 94 team were players playing at colleges. Usisl was the top league.
Unfortunately I’m usually fielding questions. Like a ****ing complaint department. Or a unicorns and rainbow factory.

Serious question for you experts, how the fvck are we so bad still? The amount of interest has grown exponentially but we haven’t seen any meaningful improvement in 10+ years.
The best athletes here dont play soccer.
I know McM will hate me for this, but: imagine Steph Curry, Antwan Randle El, Barry Sanders, et al growing up playing soccer. Compare those to Pulcic or whoever.
Ditto coaches, etc.
Not sure I buy that. We’re talking about 20 something’s and even teenagers. We haven’t improved in a long time. The amount of kids playing youth soccer is much higher than football, basketball, etc.
There’s something cultural about it. Less structure is better and our country is all about that for youth sports.
