How do you handle inexperienced corners?
1. Play zone and tell them to keep everything in front of them and work the percentages that there will be enough misses to kill the opponents drives.
2. Play something closer to man and tell them not to peek into the backfield and let the free safety help and put the onus on the front 7 to handle the run.
I realize there are 4 or 5 different covers that combine variations of zone & man and Coach Knorr and the defensive staff may have more variations. Will they resort to something clever or just play them like they were experienced?
