Was listening to The Dan Patrick Show this AM. Dan was talking with Michael Irvin, mostly about Super Bowl and NFL topics, but then he mentioned NSD and he asked Irvin about signing with Miami, did he have a lot of other offers? Irvin thought for a second, then rattled off some schools. He listed Indiana as one of his offers! I never knew this...did anyone else? Is this a piece of common knowledge among some of our esteemed Peegs/Hoosier FB Historians? Would have been before Mallory, right? Irvin said he was torn among choosing between several places, but family and peer pressure was pretty heavy toward Miami. And the fact that Howard Schnellenberger landed his helicopter in the High school parking lot to watch one of Irvin's basketball games....
Among the other exciting news of the day, this is just fodder, I know, but was very cool nonetheless.
Congrats to the staff and CKW for a great day today! And thanks to Matt, Jeff, Mike, and now Ken for all the fantastic work over the past few days/weeks! Sleep well tonight, gentlemen.
