That's an abbreviation of the handle Googly used when he first got here. He's had a dozen or so since. Googly is just his most recent.
No idea if it's the case site wide, but from what I can tell there aren't any of the mods that we all know and love operating under the new regime. If/when the time comes, they will have to determine their approach. I doubt they give a shit about the Cooler or AOTF, but the sports boards can get out of hand just as badly as it can here.
Just traded some text messages with him last week.
