Lamaleava. Gotta be related to the kid at Tennessee. Right?
Yeah, younger brother. Awesome stats. Been posing in UCLA-theme photos for awhile. Maybe that's why their other highly rated QB prospect they have was looking around if he was or is. Shows 'signed' for him though.

Instead of 'signing day' these days for the next few months should be called' indication day' or 'leaning toward day' , since that's all the stronger the commitment is anymore. No teeth in these.

@76-1

Do you have any insight as to when these kids are going to be on campus and start working out? Of the 21ish...how many are going to graduate HS early and get on campus?

I think u r correct.
So do some or all coaches keep going after a “signed” recruit? Offering more NIL money, or additional legal and non legal perks

This puts us at 71 scholarship players for next year I think? The rest will mostly be filled in through the portal obviously, but with the roster limit increase to 105, I wonder how many walk-ons will get retained? As I read it you can't exceed 105 even if the player wants to pay their own way. All 105 roster spots qualify for scholarships as well. I can't imagine Cig signing 34 players in the portal, and I also don't envision him having any empty roster spots, so will spring ball be a final sort of tryout for the walk-ons?

Coach indicated today that he would limit total scholarships to 85 for this coming year.
Right. I was watching the presser and it seems over 85 affects the rev share in a negative way — Cig says the cap goes down $2.5M, and I don’t exactly know what he meant. Perhaps that $2.5M is what goes to the next 20 to get to 105 players.

I guess (I’m not positive) the bottom line is you want all that rev share going to the top 85 guys. The rest can be partial schollies that don’t impact rev share.

Coach Cig mentioned that of the 21 new Hoosiers in this year's class, 14 would be coming in early at mid-year. I believe all 3 OL recruits are in that group along with TE Andrew Barker Who else in coming in early?
