IU is looking at this kid, per our premium board and HSN.

There are some highlights of him on the thread about him on HSN

6'4" 190 lbs originally out of Kentucky, now at Sinclair CC in Dayton. Went to Bellermine, left right away, sat out a year......now averaging 31/6 and leading national JCs in scoring.

Sinclair site says 41% on 3s, 89% on FTs....Film shows he can take the ball to the basket as well as shoot 3s.

3 years eligibility left.....

Seems like he's coming out of nowhere on the recruiting front.....TT, W. Virginia, and Missouri have recently offered.

If he was academically eligible for Bellarmine - he is a very smart kid...

Bellarmine produces the best and highest achieving...like me...

Going to be tough to get him as a ton of schools have been on him for awhile. That being said if we do not get a few guys like him in here next year will be really rough.

I have a good friend who went to Bellarmine!

He was academically eligible there....

What I read about him was that as a freshman there he had difficulty balancing ball and schoolwork. Said he left right away. Sat out a year and came to regret leaving. Seems like a good kid.....

Doesn't look ultra quick, but he can handle and take it to the basket as well as shoot the 3.

When my daughter was in HS she was interested in playing softball and looked at Bellarmine....but couldn't get any interest from their coach. I really liked everything I saw/read about the place......did you like it there?

If he's really good, no one can demonstrate a greater need, that's for sure.

My cousin played juco/D2 and now coaches at the juco level. He told me kids play in juco for a reason. He currently coaches Jalen Moore that many of you might be familiar with. The top reasons a kid plays at juco are; too small for their position, raw skill set or lower skill, past legal issues, grades too low, flat out dumb and can barely pass 100 level courses

While players can put up big numbers at that level, I would look long and hard at these kids. I don't want to disrespect this kid, but he seems to have the size and ability to have played in D1 or D2. I would want to know why he left Bellarmine.

BTW, Bellarmine is expected to go D1 soon. USI could also look to move to D1 with a new basketball stadium built to compete with small D1 programs. The OVC has held its tournament in Evansville the last 2 years despite not being located properly to do so. Coincidence or part of an expansion plan?

I hear you......We probably wouldn't be looking at him if we weren't desperate. We are, or should be. There is a story you can pull up online about why he left, if you're interested. I thought it was a good read for the kid.

Edit--Just read an article on a TT website that says IU, VA, OSU, Marquette, UK,UL, & KSU have inquired. The article quotes the Dayton Dailey News. He has firm offers from TT, WV, Missouri & Mississippi.
