It has nothing to do with him. The old saying is that I know my rights will be protected by making sure everyone's rights are protected. We made sure OJ's were protected. Heck, we made sure Trump's was in the documents case, the judge could have rammed that through. The guilty and the innocent have the same rights. I’ve seen the claim that protestors are getting paid all over social media. Initially I assumed it was just a joke but I asked and was told it was “no joke, they’re being paid.” So I asked who’s paying them and how much, and didn’t get an answer. Apparently, no one knows, but they “know” they’re getting paid.

He was under a court order to allow him to stay in this country or be deported somewhere other than El Salvador. It was taken from him with no due process. No lawyer, no hearing, nothing. Packed up and sent to El Salvador, the very place he was not to be sent. If he had been sent before judges capable of overturning the order, fine, that is due process guaranteed by the 5th. But he wasn't allowed that. As bad as he might be, we gave Charles Manson a trial. Hell, we gave Herman Gohring a trial (a trial he was close to winning). To take that court order away required another court, some adjudication.
As has been noted, they could have sent him anywhere else in the world and not been in violation.
Don't worry Dan, if they grab you up and send you to El Salvador without so much as a hearing, I will complain for you. I am sure it will be as useful as now, but that's just the limitations we are faced with.
We are a nation of laws, not men. The law was he stays or goes to a 3rd country. It isn't hard, the world is a big place. It requires a special kind of incompetance or malfeasance to send him to the one place, a tiny place, that he could not go to. I do not grant the federal government the right to ignore court orders. I've seen a lot of social media posts that Biden should have ordered all student loan records destroyed to accomplish his forgiveness. Guess what, that would have been very wrong. Just as wrong as this is. If Garcia was going to be sent to El Salvador he deserved the same 5th amendment rights all persons have.
