Saw in Star the Myles Graham transfer - any others players lost?

Probably why we offered Devonte Williams late in the process. Probably weren't looking to add another rb after we got Howard, but then we had another spot open up.

My guess is he was looking to go as soon as we signed Jordan Howard. He wasn't #1 even without Howard so the writing was on the wall for him. I wish him the best of luck.

Michael Hunter is gone to Ok State to fight for PT (even though they return 3 starting DB's). He stated he was leaving right after the season to focus on schools so we had plenty of time to prepare for that departure.

Outside of Coleman going pro, we really didnt lose much talent at all like we normally seem to do. Yet we added a lot. It's going to be a fun season!

I wish him well.
Looks like a case of a numbers game where he felt like he was going to be the odd man out,

Hope he finds success at his new school.

Funny how that does not happen at OSU, they are able to stockpile
4* recruits 3 & 4 deep.

Nothing mystical about it. Hopefully someday the Hoosiers will be stockpiling talent 4 or 5 deep. The current staff has some fairly decent talent stocked 3 deep at some positions. We are slowly gaining. It's a process and Ohio State is 50 years into that process while we are beginning year 4 or 5 depending on how you choose to look at it. Have faith and stay the course. Things have never looked so bright for IU football in the 45 years I've been a fan. No coach in the last 45 years, not even Coach Mallory, had the depth we are just beginning to build.

We would be able to do so also if we were winning like they do year in and year out. Good depth will begin to stay around when we start winning consistently.

I think it would be interesting to see how many of those players who were not getting playing time grew up dreaming about playing at OSU (or any other school who has that kind of depth).

My guess is that we have very few players on our team that grew up dreaming about being a Hooiser so if they have come here and they are not getting the PT they believe they could be somewhere else they are more prone to moving on than someone who wanted to wear the Cream and Crimson as long as they can remember.

Hahahaha what?

For one thing, OSU and IU is a ludicrous comparison. Of course guys are more willing to sit on the bench for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. However, they still have guys leave for playing time. Everyone does. Their recent QB situation does not mean they will never have another transfer.

Well, no, IU isn't on the same level as Ohio State football.

Most programs aren't. Don't really know what else to tell you. OSU has transfers too.

I love the I formation

You see it very little anymore but at times during my weekly 14 hours of solid college football viewing on tv, you will see a play or two if the I formation.

Remember the "sprint out" pass plays Gonso ran off of the I formation. I wonder if IU's simple passing game ('67) would work against today's college defenses with speed.
