Evidently our administration doesn't care about building a program. I'm an 83' grad and I try hard to get excited about our football team, but how do you support a team that plays defense like we do?
I think they care but, as has been the case for decades, it's the fans, friends and alums of IU that don't care. If they did, the perpetual losing would stop. The small contingent of fans on this board notwithstanding, most IU fans and alums don't really care, and they'll gladly not go or hang out at the tailgate or laugh and joke about the ineptitude. But they won't demand change. Big donors won't go to the AD or the President or SD and say they're turning off the money flow until a winning program is established. They just don't care enough to do that. So the losing continues.Evidently our administration doesn't care about building a program. Not looking to fire anyone, just puzzled. Northwestern just beat a good Stanford team, and they aren't loaded with 4-5 star players. What more do you want from the administration? They've invested and continue to. They've given CKW time to succeed. That's all an administration can do.
Sports fans always want everybody fired when, more often, less drastic measures are most appropriate.
Coaching matters in college football. Not looking to fire anyone, just puzzled. Northwestern just beat a good Stanford team, and they aren't loaded with 4-5 star players.

Temple is far from a bad team. Dumb comment. And Penn State is getting thumped by a bad Temple team - and PSU is loaded.
and PSU appears to be far from "loaded," at least on its offensive line at any rateTemple is far from a bad team. Dumb comment.

Who claimed they were "loaded" anywhere? lol.and PSU appears to be far from "loaded," at least on its offensive line at any rate
Did you watch them play today? Very doubtful you've ever seen them play. Keep trying. Both above comments are absurd. Temple was 6-6 last year with no good wins. They play in a crap conference. It's not a good team. And PSU, with multiple 4 and 5 star recruits, has been on the better end of B1G recruiting rankings for the last three years.
If IU played temple like PSU did today, the fans on this board would still be furious.
