104 rookies played at least 1 minute in the NBA this year. Instead of admitting that Bates wasn't as good as he thought, he is doubling down on the "playing one minute counts!" idea. Not sure why, his chance of turning a two way contract into anything lasting is not great- but yes, Bates has a foot in the.door, and good for him.
