Roster Finish

I do not know how IU's hunt for a rim-protector will play out but there are some interesting rumors out there. Federiko Federiko is one to watch but he reportedly wants $2 million in NIL. He's a positive add and would be a good fit for IU's system but to be blunt, that seems like an absurd ask for a player with a very limited offensive game and less than dominant shot-blocking. Baba Miller reportedly is seeking a deal in excess of that. He has a whole lot of potential but has yet to come close to producing at that level.
Seems like this is gonna be a trend... If I were the parent of a kid like Federiko...I might advise him to wait until right about now to commit anywhere too...or to even visit. Reminds me of the Rutgers big that went to Bama last year late in the process...all/most of the elite bigs had already signed...reports were that he ended up getting 2 million bucks, which also seemed absurd, at the time. But Bama needed a big, and was willing to stretch to get one.

Someone has money left, and will pay Federiko's asking price, I'm sure, same with Miller. I don't know where I stand on it, with regards to IU. I just want IU to be as good as they can possibly be...so this is why CDD and company are getting paid the big bucks.

I don't disagree with you but even if you could structure deals that way, would an in-demand player agree to a contract that was structured that way? I'll be shocked if Federiko Federiko ends up getting $2 million but I don't blame him for "wanting" it. I mean, I too would like $2 million. Unlike myself, Federiko has some unique size and skills that means even if he doesn't get exactly $2 million, his agent is betting on a school getting desperate at the end of the cycle here and giving him something way more than you'd think a 5 ppg player with one year left would get.
Desperation works both ways, if he doesn't get any offers at the price he wants.

I think that it has something to do with revenue shariing feom 13 to 14 or 15?? Rev share based on 1 we but can go to 15 but that is less rev share splita per person maybe?? I think I remember something about most wanting to stay at the 13 dor something with revenue
Wow. Another recruiting issue. “We will play only 4 guys, think how much money you’ll make”?

The lack of activity by FF toward any schools suggests that he will return to TT unless someone steps in with a huge payday.

A couple of weeks ago I wondered about Howard & IU. He seems a little more capable than Alexis to play at the same time as Bailey, to provide some toughness/rebounding. I say that because he did shoot 33% on 3s, which doesn't seem bad for an interior-oriented freshman.

If Howard comes with IU, I think we're adequately covered with bigs.....not ideal, but adequate. I'd like to see the 12th guy be Leo Curtis, IF the staff projects him as capable of being a high rotation player as a Soph. If he's more of a project that that I don't see much value in adding him. If he comes, I see him as an end of bench guy for this year.

Miller looks like more trouble than he's worth, imo.

Watching Curtis' highlights again.......it will be interesting to see if we try to add him. Has impressive shooting skills and can put the ball on the floor.. Not slow for his size but not much lift...........he will need work on finishing with both hands around the basket, he needs to develop his passing ability and his general craftiness around the basket, and he needs to get stronger.

If we add him this year I don't think he gets much PT unless Bailey or Alexis are injured. On the other hand, with reasonable improvement he looks like a rotation player at the 5 by nest year. So getting someone like Alexis from the portal next year would be enough at the 5 position.
