Dang looks like IU had a few players decide to leave the program. I assume a couple wanted to protect their eligibility for a redshirt year. I guess this is probably going to be a regular occurrence for all teams moving forward.

I’m all for players getting paid, but the nonstop transfers, sitting out, etc. out is a bit much.

Yea. I’ve given up on the NCAA. My only hope is the rev share / employee contracts starting next year. If schools are paying the FB team $16M, that should come with real pro contracts that include standard things like duration, duties, buyouts, cause/without cause termination, clawbacks, etc. Players want to pros and with the money comes more obligations and expectations.
On the other hand, the new contracts could be weak if the players/agents have leverage to get great terms. I don’t know what will happen.
Well, Cig did say when he got here that it was easier to weed out guys, that the portal did the work for you... We'll see if he was right on that view, in this type of situation. I have to believe there's a few there he'd prefer to have available this season.
No doubt of varied reasons these boys are gone. Cignetti absolutely is 1 of them. Really believe in his get on the f-in train or get off the f-in track new IUFB philosophy.

Under this staff, that guy should be molded into a very good player. His energy and motor are at a high level. That’s why they like him.

Looks like these departures might open up a couple of slots on Special Teams... Big opportunity there for some young guys to lean into the storm and play up to the moment...
