East was a better 3pt shooter than anyone so far this season on IU's roster.

East made buckets. Something IU desperately needs.

Against other 5'10" high schoolers.

Kent Ramey scored a s$#tton of points for the Mitchell Bluejackets back in the day.

I've hit a bunch of three's in my old man basketball league this year.

It's a dumb comparison.

Where is East even at today? You think he'd be playing minutes at IU? GTFO

I never said East should be at IU. But Romeo had shooters to dish to to spread the defense out, allowing him a lane to drive, or take his man one on one at the top of the key. If IU has a 3pt threat or threats that Romeo could pass to, it would open up his game even more at IU.

Romeo has been improving and he looked good against Maryland. His FT shooting is way better too. He might get that up over 80% soon at his current pace. I won't be shocked to see him over 40% in 3PT percentage and leading the team in FT percentage by the end of the season.

Romeo was shooting 40% from 3pt range and over 88% FT after the Maryland game, in B1G play. Which mirrors Romeo's HS career averages.

Romeo is avg 19/game... what is it you were expecting from him? To avg. 30? He is getting to the basket, and getting his points while shooting a good 50% from the floor. That is not the real problem. The real problem is IU needs other to just contribute more. 3s, dunks, assists, effort... it doesn't really matter what as long as it is positive and more.

He will not be over 40% in 3pt shooting by the end of the season. He will be lucky to get to Bracey Wright territory.

In fact, that is the primary reason he isn't ready for the NBA. He isnt quick or strong and if he can't be deadly outside, teams can lay off of him on high screens (which are even higher in the league).

The NBA scouts think his perimeter shooting can be developed. His ability to glide elevate and finish with that touch around the basket is something that can't be taught.

I don't disagree. But getting drafted and being ready are two different things. He will get drafted. But he isn't ready and I don't think coming back would hurt his development. I don't know that Victor would have made it had he tried to leave after year 2. He surged in year 3 and his work ethic became part of the package.

VO wasn't slotted as a lottery pick after that 2. I don't remember if he was even thought of as being a 1st round pick but I think he was 2nd round to undrafted. So yes, another year greatly improved his stock and moved him way up in the draft. This doesn't apply to Romeo who is already a lottery pick. He shouldn't stay another year.

If IU had even one consistent 3pt threat it would change the entire offensive look of this team. If you look at the stats it says Durham is a 40%+ 3pt shooter, but it seems like it’s because he’ll hit 80% in one game and 0% in the next.

I believe that ufo33 clearly meant that IU has no consistent 3 point shooters, and that NA had some kids that shoot from out better than what IU can bring onto the court. It's hard to argue. IU cannot shoot the three.
