RIP Jerry West

Jerry was a class act. He was tortured because he didn't win as much as he thought he should have. It really bothered him. But he won a lot as a player and GM.
Playing against the Celtics' dynasty would have been frustrating. Still, you figure West and Wilt would have won more titles.

West was so good that he won the finals MVP in a season (1969) where his team LOST the finals series vs. the Celtics. He averaged 38 ppg.

It's the only time the MVP didn't go to a player on the winning team. He was so good they couldn't even pretend that anyone else was more deserving.

Elgin Baylor too. It is amazing that collection didn't win more, and it was really only 1 reason.
