I was actually for protecting the elderly and the unhealthy first and the rest of us healthy people could mostly develop natural immunity, but there's no reason to disrespect anyone who got the vaccine when it became available. It was the smart thing to do.
The bear and whale head stories are pretty darn nutty, right? Who does that stuff besides someone that is at least a bit of a nut?
We have MAGAs to study closely here. Yes, I do think I know what motivates you.

We know from Alex Jones, there is huge money in flat out making up conspiracies. People legitimately believed Sandy Hook was faked. We really think they are going to make great decisions on vaccines.
I am reading the updated book "Nudged". They discuss how we are not "econs", robots that always make perfect decisions. We are humans, we screw up. As they put it, which of us could walk up to a chess game and beat Magnus? Why not, we have as much data and available choices as him?
I'm not sure why you guys carry on like you do on this board...I read it VERY occasionally (mainly for comedic value). I've learned long ago there is no reason to debate on an online forum, facts don't matter (either way) and no one is convinced/swayed (either way). Humans are a strange species 😆. I'm a bigger FB and baseball fan (as sports, in general, although I played all 3 for 4 years in high school). The FB crowd is definitely more even keeled...but that probably due to our historical lack of success. I enjoy people on the cooler as mortal enemies getting along on the sports boards 😀

Noted...as an independent, I also disliked lil Archie and Glass (I RARELY use the word "hate"...my upbringing taught me better). I'll leave it at that 😉
I don't remember Archie having many fans but there was definitely a Crean cult. Some of the conversations I had with those clowns were hysterical. "Cmon dbm it's not his fault. No one could've known Syracuse would play a zone."

You aren’t the the arbiter on what is smart vs. dumb. I never disrespected anyone. I said I have great respect for those that choose not to get the Covid vax. They were under tremendous pressure from idiots everywhere to get vaxxed. The truth was healthy individuals didn’t need the experimental vax.
Is Trump one of the idiots? He told everyone they should get the vax same as he did.
I had the vaccine, Feb of 2021. Got covid anyway 8 months later in October. I was able to get antibody treatment. Even so it ramped up fast, enough to make me nervous, but for only a couple days but then eased off. I was glad I had the vaccine and treatment.
Got vaxxed again that winter, then got covid again the next fall, a mild case.
Last fall I said the hell with another dose! No covid.
This fall, again said the hell with it. So far so good.
Mixed bag... But glad I had it before that first one.
