Vitamin A, clarithromycin, and budesonide…. But MMR vaccine as prevention is a “personal choice”. What a fvcking moron. Hopefully Trump voters will subscribe to all his whack job cures while ignoring actual science. Darwinism will absolutely thin the herd

Things the vaccine zealots don’t tell you:

When the measles vaccine was introduced, average annual Measles deaths in the U.S. were 400-500 annually.

Pretty much all of those in areas with poor water quality and the type of 3rd world impoverishment that just really doesn’t exist anymore in the U.S.

For all intents and purposes we had already beat measles. Then the vaccine came in and claimed victory for itself.

Sorry, I’m usually mild mannered, but are you really that dumb to believe the shit you read. You need to reconsider the sources of your information. You think our country was spared the measles because we improved the water? SMH

No need to call me dumb. I don’t have children, but when I do I will get them the MMR vaccine, so rest easy.

Yes poor access to clean water is contributory to poor health and more adverse reactions to measles. That 400-500 I mentioned were largely in the Mississippi delta region where hot humid weather makes measles more contractable.

But anyone telling you that decreased vaccination rates for measles will lead to some kind of extremely deadly epidemic is selling you a bill of goods. And I wouldn’t tell any parent what vaccines they “must” get for their children, because it’s not my business.

And you should mind yours.

Somehow we recovered from that bad 1962 water and measles cases dropped by 99.98% and deaths dropped by 99.99%

It's a miracle!

The water got better for rubella patients 6 years later!

The water got good for polio patients 8 years before!

Wow!

Measles always had a low fatality rate, as a percentage of population, but came with a whole host of other long term debilitating effects for many survivors.

Being likely the most contagious disease in human history (R factor of over 15, meaning on average one infected person infected >15 others), its near eradication was an amazing medical achievement.

But you do you, Googly flat Earther.

Measles deaths perhaps dropped by 99%. The problem with vaccines, and this is what the industry relies on, is it is extremely hard to attribute vaccine injury and death to the vaccine itself.

But we know it happens as evidenced by the still elevated excess death rates post COVID and the surge in autism and other developmental disorders since the widespread adoption of vaccines.

I sincerely appreciate that when you have children you will get them vaccinated. I truly do mean that. It’s what’s best for our children’s health and to prevent the spread of disease to every one else’s children. We are fortunate to live in a country that has incredible resources to keep our population safe. It’s a hell of a lot better than living in some 3rd world country where they don’t have clean water, enough food, enough medicine to vaccinate children and prevent the spread of disease and so much more that we should be thankful for.

There is no science that has ever proven vaccines lead to autism. Absolutely none! It’s been refuted over and over. The doctor who tried to claim it is responsible is a whack job.

I’m a simple man. I look at data and I see a surge in autism rates every time a new vaccine is introduced.

And “well we just screen for it better now” is one of the larger crocks of shit I’ve ever heard.

And what training did you receive to make this assessment? Are you a doctor, scientist, or just really good on the Interwebs?

This notion that parents should decide about scientific things for their children is specious reasoning. Ego Man and many of his followers love to cherrypick the science they believe and that which they consider deep state nonsense.

It’s laughable what your ilk will type into their unfathomably futuristic wireless cell phones created by scientific geniuses you can’t even sniff with your sparse allotment of gray cells. Before you get butthurt, I can’t either. The difference between you and me is that I don’t pretend I know best about things I can’t honestly fathom. Ego Man is the biggest Know-Best of them all. Practically every economist is cautious about tariffs but Ego Man knows best…

Vaccines are one of the most brilliant discoveries of mankind. Realizing a body naturally develops immunity and figuring out how to artificially trigger an immune response that can virtually extinguish a disease from an entire country, if a high enough percentage of people cooperate, is the epitome of Man conquering Nature without even harming Nature in the process.

RFK Jr is advocating vitamins and some other substances. Those also happen to be scientific discoveries made by geniuses brighter than you and I. But what he’s recommending hasn’t gone through scientific methodological testing. He’s just believing something someone pulled out of their ass and posted online.

Well, guess what, smart guy, I’ve got a raisin box with special soil in it you can use to call your Great Aunt in Keokuk. $50. Cheap!

Non-responsive. I mostly don’t disagree with your description of how vaccines work (real vaccines not mRNA vaccines).

The rest is just “trust the experts” tripe.

What RFK is advocating is proven harmless and probably effective (like ivermectin).

Do you forget Covid? Several studies came out showing Ivermectin was an effective prophylactic.

But those had to be buried and wrongfully discredited with BS studies because you can’t get emergency authorization for a vaccine when there is a proven prophylactic.

Money talks.

Lots of irony in your statements here. Don't tell me vaccines are good, but I am going to tell you why they have little benefit (at least as to measles)

That is patently false.

Medical researchers conclude the rise in autism diagnoses is to due more widespread screening and the inclusion of a wider range of behaviors to describe the condition.

Further, In 2013, mental health experts combined what had been three separate diagnoses - autistic disorder, Asperger’s disorder and pervasive developmental disorder - under the umbrella of autism spectrum disorder.

In October 2024, a study of U.S. insurance claims data found the largest increases in diagnoses were in groups with low screening rates in the past, including young adults, females, and children from some racial or ethnic minority groups.

There are also certain risk factors have become more common, such as having been born prematurely or to older parents.

You've got to know what you don't know before you pass judgment.

I’m curious, since you’re not big on trusting scientists where do you stand on climate change?

Dear Lord. You have truly had a huge dose of Trump BS. Every quirky kid now gets diagnosed with autism. There is ZERO x ZERO x ZERO correlation with vaccines. Study after study after study has seen NO link. You know what there is a direct correlation of? Lack of vaccination with morbidity and mortality

One of my coworkers has been with NAPA as a driver for around 40 years. Back in the old days we said he just wasn't right in the head. Now we say he's on the spectrum.

There you go. The first time the word autism was used as a medical diagnosis/classification, was 1943. It was used before as part of the assessment/diagnosis of schizophrenia in the early 20th century, but 43' was when people took a bit of notice. Unfortunately, even the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental disorders continued to address autism as condition of schizophrenia until the 70s--and then in 1980 when it was finally given its own specific disorder under DSM III. So of course there would be an explosion of autism related diagnoses. Improved screening and assessment contribute to this perceived increase in autism cases.

Unfortunately, the purveyors of flat out lies (in the case of the fraudulent studies that Andrew McCabe did are now allowing keyboard warriors to once again join the wrong dots.

I had to go find it since no one linked it. He's obviously talking about lessening the effects, not the prevention or as a cure. The WHO and CDC both say vitamin A should be given to kids diagnosed with measles. He's a weirdo, but I don't see anything wrong in what he says. Get vaccinated against the measles. If a child gets the measles, follow established CDC guidelines. Eat a healthy diet.

This opinion piece seems to be what everyone is losing their minds about.

I mean this is what he says:

"Parents play a pivotal role in safeguarding their children’s health. All parents should consult with their healthcare providers to understand their options to get the MMR vaccine. The decision to vaccinate is a personal one. Vaccines not only protect individual children from measles, but also contribute to community immunity, protecting those who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons. "

It wasn't written in a vacuum, but by leading with the "aw shucks, vaccinations are a personal decision", he's giving parents an out. He doesn't say the vaccine is safe and effective, and then doubles down on this by saying by the way, "By 1960 -- before the vaccine’s introduction -- improvements in sanitation and nutrition had eliminated 98% of measles deaths. Good nutrition remains a best defense against most chronic and infectious illnesses. Vitamins A, C, and D, and foods rich in vitamins B12, C, and E should be part of a balanced diet. He doesn't tell you the number deaths and cases dropped from 230 with a .24 rate to a case rate of .38 and a death rate of .00030 once the vaccine was introduced.

the surge in autism is because people like you weren't properly diagnosed, years ago

My wife is in some of the Facebook mom groups around suburban Denver and there’s definitely a growing population who are totally anti-vax everything.

What’s worse is they trust RFK Jr and Candance Owen’s over actual science and doctors. That’s the MAGA party.

...real vaccines not mRNA vaccines
It's hilarious how people contort themselves in fear of mRNA vaccines, when they basically avert all of the "problems" that antivaxxers dream up for traditional vaccines

Many traditional vaccines use live attenuated viruses that can themselves cause some disease symptoms and that, in VERY rare instances, can be spread (though what can be spread [the favorite antivaxx trope is "shedding"] is a super-weakened virus).
-anitivaxxers: Don't put a virus in me! I don't want to be sick!
-mRNA vaccine inventors: OK, use an mRNA vaccine, there's no virus whatsoever!

The live attenuated viruses (or viral fragments) in traditional vaccines must first be cultured in human cells (growth media). Some cell types used come from fetal tissue isolated in the 60s and cultured ever since
-anitivaxxers: Don't put aborted fetal cells in me!
-mRNA vaccine inventors: We don't use them in mRNA vaccine production, at all, because we don't need to culture a virus, at all. (And even in traditional vaccines, all growth media is rigorously removed from the vaccine anyway).

Traditional vaccines work best with adjuvants, often aluminum salts, used in small amounts.
-anitivaxxers: Don't put heavy metals in me!
-mRNA vaccine inventors: OK, we don't use them, at all. Plus... the aluminum salts are not "heavy metals" anyway, and are nontoxic at the small doses used in traditional vaccines. But if it bothers you, you must be excited about mRNA!

Vaccines before ~2000 often used preservatives, such as antibacterial compounds (thimerosal, ethyl mercury, is one)
-anitivaxxers: Don't put mercury or other preservatives in me!
-mRNA vaccine inventors: OK, we don't use them, at all. Plus... no vaccines used in the USA use thimerosal. Antibacterials are only used in vaccines intended to be distributed in remote areas with no refrigeration and when single-use vials are impractical.

mRNA vaccines ingredients
-anitivaxxers: We have no idea what's in there!
-mRNA vaccine inventors: the ingredients are simple and well-defined: saline, a trace of mRNA, a small amount of lipid (natural fats) to encapsulate / stabilize the mRNA, natural sugars, and sometimes a small amount of a solubilizing agent such as PEG or tromethamine, which have been used for decades in all sorts of injected drugs.

-antivaxxers: I don't want to change my DNA!
-those with even a 7th grade science education: please, go look up the central dogma of biology to understand what RNA is and does and stop getting your info from youtube videos

-antivaxxers: microchips!
-sane people: Really? You think anyone cares to monitor your trips to Walmart? Think, man...

What did he say that isn't true? The CDC website says the same thing, and has said the same thing before he ever showed up and said it.

Parents already have an out. There have been vaccines that I opted my kids out of here in Indiana. Does my developmentally disabled daughter really need the HPV vax? No, she doesn't.

No, no, no. The 30 minute old baby needs the Hep B vaccine.

No telling what kind of intravenous drug use and sexual activity they will get up to.

We definitely over diagnose. Every kid that is the least bit finicky and has an ounce of organizational instinct likes to label themself “on the spectrum”.

That’s not the full explanation however.

Hepatitis B is not contracted by a baby through sex. It nearly always a case where a mother unknowingly passes the Hep B virus to their babies at birth. It is very much a dangerous disease for infants.
