Dems more likely to take your money through taxes and waste it."

That was a post by Eurocyldon that was locked due to the trolling nature of the post and because the above statement above was in the thread title and not the message part. The following was linked.

But the thread was locked before I, or really anyone, had a chance to reply and I find the topic interesting. I have researched this in the past and realized that statistics, though accurate, do not always the whole story.

The following 2 articles help to explain.

It was locked because Euro was in the middle of a troll-a-thon, dumping nonsense all over the forum.

But if you find this topic worth discussing, by all means, go for it.

Those 2 articles are nothing more than an attempt to cover up the real differences in giving between Republicans and Democrats. Facts are facts, but they want to twist those facts into something they're not.

I sure as hell wouldn't count on the NYTimes for any kind of objectivity.

Just show me the forum rules please that state there is a thread starting limit. Thank you.

Counterpoint, it's pretty even with Republicans slightly ahead but for different reasons.

Do you really want to see what's behind the curtain?

I mean, really really?
Unfortunately there’s no turning back. DANC led us down this path with mark’s deleting history. We owe a debt of gratitude to DANC for his courage. Then stoll freed himself just long enough to share that there’s a liberal bias in what gets deleted. Now Ribbon, another poster with outsized courage, garnered an admission that there are no rules. We’re at the mercy of the mods.
Inch by inch….

I think you need a bigger tin foil hat.

Mark's deleted posts from liberals as well and stoll still posts political bs.

But don't let facts get in your way. You rarely do ;)

And here’s the bigger question. Who is funding them? Wowwwwww. You didn’t know I was going there. For controlling the narrative. Soros? That cavanaugh guy? We already got an admission that he appointed mark. That twenty bet story was silly. An obvious ruse. And where is iujim. He disappeared the same time mark was appointed. Wowwwwww. Wow. Wow.

Do we really want to finally find out that it’s been Comcast and moneyed interests controlling this place all along?

But what if you find out there are no answers where you're looking? Despondency over something like this would be concerning.

Especially at your age.

Too small change for Soros. Think local.

It's gotta be the Cooks.

And IUJIM is just smarter than we are, clearly.

Huh. Not seeing any caps there . . .
Tulsi Gabbard said she's leaving the Dem party because it is "under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers who are driven by cowardly wokeness." Her former party is "stoking anti-white racism," and is "hostile to people of faith." Wow. Wow. Tulsi. You see it all. Anyone see anyone parallels to a certain board?

I can't believe how many posts we've had about Tulsi in the last 10 mins without pics.

They are taking action against me already. I'm getting an extra step "confirm you want to take this action." Or the board disappears. AOL WILL BE RIGHT BACK. Wow. Wow.

I was going to ask. Happens whether I'm at work or home or wherever. Come on Rivals.

At least you're not paying $10/month

The world is broken. Our fall has been a total disaster. Look at the update soccer .com posted. We're at the point now where not only are deliveries delayed, we aren't even getting tracking info on a regular basis. Our shit says label created and just sits

POTENTIAL PEAK SEASON DELAYS

We’re working hard to fulfill orders quickly, but please know that some deliveries may take longer than expected to arrive due to ongoing shipping carrier delays.

In addition to delivery delays, the updating of carrier tracking information and delivery status may be delayed.

No but there's a fair amount of factory/city overlap. As an old soccer guy you'll appreciate this. remember eurosport? The old soccer magazine in the 80s. That's soccer.com today. They were started by a family in north carolina

One of the articles mentions that the average R fives $60-100 more per year than the average D. What they don't discuss is the % giving/total income between Rs and Ds of equal incomes. I think it would be a pretty significant difference.

First off, the articles were posted by ribbont, who is not imho a Dem or left-leaning. The original article is freaking 6+ yrs old, and I'd say likely analyzes data from the period where some of this boards now Dem posters actually considered themselves as more GOP. When applied to the population as a whole, that would seem to point out how meaningless partisan distinctions analyzed prior to 2016 would likely be...

What relevance would the NYT play, other than the fact that they reported on the original study? They certainly didn't conduct it themselves...

"Using voting and IRS data for the residents of 3,000 counties across the nation, the four-professor research team found, according to the New York Times, that counties which are “overwhelmingly Republican” report higher charitable contributions than Democratic-dominated counties, although “giving in blue counties is often bolstered by a combination of charitable donations and higher taxes. But as red or blue counties become more politically competitive, charitable giving tends to fall.” The full study was recently published in the Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly."

Not sure why you'd take issue with that, although not understanding why you do things is an increasingly common reality for anyone on this board. I do think the 2nd article's rationale (church membership) makes the most sense to explain the discrepancy. I'd assume that you'd have no problem with the contention that Republicans attend church more often, but with you ya just never know... ;)

'The greater good' for Dims is giving to people like Nancy Pelosi.
And for MAGA types (not all Pubs), it's giving to people like Doug Mastriano...

See how ridiculous your "point" is? There's always someone worse to point out...
