Currently the Falcons have Replogle in their 2-deep as the back up LG and somewhere down the way at C. http://www.atlantafalcons.com/team/depth-chart.html. They parted ways with former Wisconsin OL Peter Konz to move AR up from #3 to #2 in that slot.

That said, the AJC beat writer for the Falcons has Replogle as a next cut casualty, and not retained for the practice squad. See paragraph 9: http://atlantafalcons.blog.ajc.com/2015/09/02/cover-99-dimitroffs-drafts-getting-put-under-the-microscope/

Here's hoping . . . .

BTW, Coleman is #2 on the depth chart and looks like he'll play tonight, as Freeman remains benched to heal a hamstring injury.

Both Freeman and Coleman have had nagging hamstrings.

I put Coleman as a backup on my fantasy team and may end up regretting that decision. He may get beat out by Freeman.

As to Replogle, when it's all said and done, they say that the best of the Replogle gang may end up being the one at Purdue.

Konz was released with an injury settlement, not to move up AR.

Well, I understand your confusion . . . that was written to describe the effect of, not the motivation for, the decision to let Konz go.

Wasn't confused in the least. Just thought it was worth stating what actually occurred.

I think Jake is going to have a monster year for us. He's huge and should be a stud for us. Why didn't you guys pursue him harder?

Because, you know, Lynch just couldn't recruit and he had some other Replogles, so obviously Wilson wouldn't want him. At least according to the recruiting gurus on some IU boards.

IU didn't offer him because they couldn't find a spot to play him. They didn't think he was big enough to play on the interior and he wasn't fast enough to play on the edge or at LB. he's gotten bigger, but he still struggles against bigger, stronger lines. Glad he's found a home at Purdue.

Well I think they absolutely missed big-time there. But your loss is our gain so I'll take it.

I think Replogle at PU may be all-Big Ten before it's all over. He's like all the Replogle kids: a lunch pail worker.

By his senior year, Adam was a key guy on a defensive line that struggled overall.

I like the guy we got: Nate Hoff.

He's going to be key for us the next 3 years.

I agree that he has all big-ten potential.

I saw him twice in person last year and he had trouble at the point of attack. Size, ability and strength were problems for him. Plenty of heart but he'll be overmatched physically a lot again this year.

I doubt it. He's getting closer to 300 pounds and everyone has been raving about him during camp. But I guess we shall see.
