Turns out our ancient ancestors on the British isles didn't just get lucky. Turns out they were preserving the bodies in other ways - perhaps by smoking them(!) - for other uses, and only buried them when they had no more use for them.

I'm afraid this is a bit creepy.

Maybe they should study why this British mummy has such good teeth! Not a tea drinker?

I didn't give much thought about the stereotype of people in the UK having bad teeth until I went to Portsmouth. My wife and I were taking a boat tour of the harbor when a woman nearly passed out and threw up over the side of the boat. My wife was concerned and wanted to make sure she was okay. The woman turned around and smiled and instead of calling for a doctor, I wanted to call for a dentist.
