that ran up the score on us was none other than the fat jerk that now coaches Illinois. IU wasn't even that bad in 2010 as we went 5-7. Around that same time Bielema went for the 2 point conversion against Minny when leading by something like 30 in the 4th quarter. He then got into a verbal confrontation with the Minny coach at midfield, and postgame said he was just going by the "chart" coaches uses to determine the 1 or 2 point conversion. From what I have heard, he's not the best-liked coach in the B1G. There were no tears shed when he left Wisconsin for Arkansas where he failed miserably.

Anyway, It was a joy watching him pace the sideline having to eat this game. I was in schadenfreude heaven.

I missed out on 83-20, luckily. I was however at a few IU clunkers up there vs UW and BA as in, 62-13 in ‘94 and 59 zip in ‘99. Also was at a heartbreaker Cam’s first year, ‘97, when we had no business staying with them, losing on a last minute FG. Only IU football win I was at up There was in ‘91, a comeback from 20 to zip.

Eat this game? That fat SOB eats the whole damn stadium! I’m really ok if his crew loses every game from here on out. That 80-point game showed a total lack of class and respect for your fellow coaches.

He may be attempting to compete for the Mark Mangino coaching award. Remember when Mangino coached Kansas about 15-20 years ago weighing 400 pounds and looking like instead of walking the sidelines as a coach. the TV networks should have painted Goodyear on his side and let Him Hover over the stadium.

I remember the 2010 beat down and how embarrassing that ways, but I have one that may be better than that. In the late 1970's or early 80's IU was playing Iowa at Iowa and getting drilled. We were down something like 55-10 with a few minutes left in the Game. Hayden Fry inserted his 4th or 5th string QB, and had Him throw a series of passes. After the game, He said He did it so his QB could get some things on tape for NFL Scouts. Seriously? If I remember correctly, Bill Mallory gathered his team at the 10 Yard line facing the Scoreboard for several minutes making sure He got his message across before yielding the field to the Iowa Band.

There was no way that the 83 points were needed. You want the subs to get a chance but still. What goes around comes around. Not isolated. Nebraska beat Northwestern 66 to 17 in the Alamo bowl many years ago and NU followed it up by playing Nebraska even in the Big ever since. Loved last weeks win over Illinois and how IU's enthusiasm is about the IU kids. IU can play real D1 powere conference football and just needs some more gut check wins like last week. Had IU not been locked into the tough division of the Big, record would be even better.

I have a vague memory of that...but pretty much all memory is vague these days. Although I'm not 100% sure it was Iowa, I know he did it and I loved it.
