Are we only assuming Nebraska is the leader because they signed him up as a student since there was a deadline for that?

Or is there more to it?
Short podcast here talking about both linemen.

He (the host) doesn’t even mention IU regarding Spindler, just Nebraska and Michigan. His prediction is Nebraska.

He’s giving a slight edge to IU for Coogan.

Surprised that you wouldn't mention a school he has visited. He wouldn't have visited if there was no interest.

Hopefully we get at least 1.

I saw Spindler wants to make his commitment by Sunday (Feb 2nd).

Also in that article, it says he has potential visits this weekend (after his Pitt visit, which is where his dad played) at Michigan and Virginia.

doesn't seem like someone that is a done deal.. unless he is just trying to up his NIL by getting bidders.

So I'm confused here. Are we talking registration for the spring semester or fall? I would think that it's plenty early enough for fall and too late for spring....and if it isn't too late, I would think all schools would have similar deadlines.

For the current semester, he's gotta be in by Tuesday is what I've read.

It's the same issue with basically all his schools. It's why he's choosing on Sunday.

I enjoy much of what the Big Ten Huddle has to offer. The host here in a recent episode stated he lives 10 min from Bloomington despite being an Ohio St. fan.

Seems though his arguments in this case are nothing more than generalizations based upon the clout, legacy helmet schools used to be able to roll with.
