18 offensive boards.

That's what cost us the game. It wasn't substitutions or bad Green vs. good Green or 2 bench points or whatever else you're hysterical about.

We got manhandled by Maryland on the glass and the O boards effectively gave them 18 more possessions which gave the 17-18 more points. That's what buried us. Block out and keep them off the glass after they miss and this game is a W. It's the kind of stuff you learn when you're first playing as a little kid.

Some of these threads would be hilarious if they weren't so embarrassing.

Rebounding is on the way. TJD is already a very good rebounder.

I dont think it was rebounding.

It was gettin lazy or else fatigued or both and throwing up threes which has proven time and time again to cause us scoring droughts....Furthermore leading to easy transition buckets for the other team.
The other thing was lazy \fatigued intensity on defense.
Also leading to runs.
Bad combos

True .. but fwiw offensive rebounds only extend possessions.

And we will not be the only team they do that to. You know since they are one of the better rebounding teams in the country.

Block outs can only do so much when the opposing team has that much length and athletic ability. It was a really bad matchup for us.

Smith who was doing a good job, getting into foul trouble didn't help much and you have to give credit to Cowan who sped us up on defensive and got the pace and early clock sets Mayland likes. We play better deeper into the clock, they play well earlier before defense is fully set.

Plus most if not all of the complainers today are basketball morons, so take their loss inflected chronic whining with a grain of salt and then offer them a tampon.
