Lots of interesting things

First, we outplayed them at every turn. Our guys were just better. Our defense played great - even after Jamar Johnson got tossed in the 1st quarter. We covered quick, we found and stopped the ball and our support hit hard. We made em pay for almost every yard.

Second, Milton was athletic, but not really effective as a QB. He rarely “hurt” us, and when he did, it was too little or too late.

Penix’s footwork was awful. He threw off-balance or off the wrong foot 90% of the time. And still made quicker, better plays than Milton.

The impact of a lack of holding penalties cannot be overstated. Every single hold is devastating.

We had 4-5 guys every play who could and DID catch balls. And Stevie Scott got ENOUGH. We did not need “breakaway speed.” We needed and got first downs, then scored from inside the 5 when we had to.

Multi-dimensional.
Better than average at every spot.
