Haven’t heard Ronnie Walker’s name mention on here.
Any word on how he is looking?
Really hoped he would be ready to take some early snaps with Ellison and Gest.

There is such a log jam at RB though. Plenty of solid experience there so for him to walk in and impress he would have to be an absolute stud.

I knew last year going into the season Ellison would be the guy. If he wouldn't have been injured throughout high school he would be playing at OSU. Gest, Brookins, and Majette are all good. Maybe with the new red-shirt rule he gets some garbage snaps. Sound like Scott is also a beast.

We have quite the stable of backs to work with, it's pretty incredible to see. As long as the Oline opens up the holes, I'm quite confident in what we got back there. Heck, we brought on a former four-star in Pechac as a walk-on.

As intriguing of a talent as Ronnie Walker looked like in high school, I still anticipate him earning some serious snaps sometime this season. Now maybe he still needs to strengthen his pass pro and receiving skills, but he sure is a runner who can scoot. I just think he will work his way into the rotation and not be redshirted.

Worst case think Walker gets in 4 games and preserves RS year. Best case he is too good to keep out of RB rotation this season. But not sure he’s ready to overtake Ellison & Gest yet as those two are strong, fast & experienced.

Forgetting his name, but I think another sleeper is the RS FR RB from Miami, FL. Think he has some tools to do well too.

Per Pechak, really want him to be a great turnaround story, but not sure what happened between junior yr (4-Star status) and now, but he is clearly in work & prove it to everyone mode before I see him in this mix. But do wish him good luck for sure!

Stevie Scott is the guy I think will emerge as our freshman surprise. I don't expect them to redshirt him. I think they try to get a power running game going and increasingly turn to Scott as the season rolls on. I think Ellison will be a feature back with Gest and Brookins rotating, but I bet the use Scott inside the redzone quite a bit.

Depending on if Pechac has matured and where his weight is, I could see him getting in the mix now. Seemed to have a Big Ten body coming in kinda like Ellison. At least some garbage snaps

It’s not a power running team at all so doubt they’d try that. Not big enough or powerful enough up front and no use of a fullback or h back. A power running game is the one thing you won’t see, it was more likely under Wilson.

Oline opening holes is the key. Wilson's roster management at Oline was almost as bad as at QB.
