Question for those in the know..

Is Stover and Minor done for their careers or just this season? I thought that taking a medical hardship meant you were done playing for the duration. It sounded as if they could return. Would like to see these big guys back in action if they could return.

Unclear, but they were removed from the roster at the IU site, despite the NCAA allowing an increase from 105 to 110 players. My guess is “he gone” and “he gone”

PS - I am not "in the know"

I noticed that they were not on the roster as well. Hate to see this cause Minor was a Hoss and I thought he would be a starter in the near future.

The way TA phrased things left the door open for their return.

I wouldn't read too much into their not being on the roster. We needed those two slots for guys who are medically able to practice...

Why would you keep their names on the roster and only practice 108 when you could practice 110 simply by leaving their names off the roster and explaining that they're medically unable to practice. Makes perfect sense to me...

Wow, my read was they were not "participating in Fall Camp due to medical issues" - my interpretation: they are injured, not able to play, so will not be involved in fall camp. (like say Ellison was out of spring camp)

I did not pick up in any way "they may be off the team" but rather just injured.

Would be nice is IU or an IUFB reporter could clarify as that is a big sway from "possibly off the team" to "just injured for the fall" and would be good to put those kinds of (possibly way off speculation) to rest.

I'm thinking scholarship numbers would come into play. My guess is that they're being offered non-athletic "scholarships" through the Athletes Bill of Rights thing. But that's pure speculation on my part.

Agree, Minor looked to have potential, unfortunately have heard his heart just isn’t in it anymore. Pretty tough to play D1 football if you aren’t “all in”.

Minor is walking away from football right now and it will be up to him if he ever returns. Sometimes players just find it too difficult to be a student and a football player so they choose to just be a student.
