PUers almost...

Iowa lost White midway through the first half to an injury.

Tough luck in what should have been a very winnable game.

Fran might not be up to the job

Iowa's next 3 games; --- WI, @MI, UMD

Staring to look like they're a lock for the NIT

After 13 consecutive losses to ranked teams, PUke finally pulls one out of their butts. Put up a banner!!!!

New 13 game losing streak starts shortly.

I guess technically it's a top 25 win.

The fact is though that there was no way Iowa was going to be anywhere near the top 25 tomorrow night after that bohumping they took from Wisconsin on Tuesday.

Iowa overly sensitive?

I think Dakich was over the top as it is not conclusive to me. But at minimum Woodbury was really careless, especially with the fouls 22 ft. From the basket.

Re: I guess technically it's a top 25 win.

Iowa is a terrible shooting especially from 3. They are also bad at defending against the 3. Woodbury is a stiff and borderline dirty player.

Re: What situation are they talking about?*

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery wants ESPN color commentator Dan Dakich to apologize to Hawkeyes center Adam Woodbury Woodbury for calling him "gutless" and "cowardly" during the broadcast of an 82-50 loss to Wisconsin.

Dakich called out Woodbury after the center appeared to poke the eyes
of Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes and Frank Kaminsky in separate incidents
Tuesday.

McCaffery defended his player while blasting Dakich during the taping
of his weekly radio show on Wednesday. A message seeking comment from
Dakich was not immediately returned.

Note: Dakich attacked Illinois freshman Leron Black on the air last week, also.

Iowa fans sure love to talk basketball ....

... if it's not their team.

249 (!!) posts about the Kansas - Iowa State game .... still active, the day they play Purdue

Too weird.

But they still won. We have lost games before, maybe not this year,

while blowing a big lead. We have lost leads this year, and like PU we ultimately won. No need to make fun of them on what happened today.

Saw the bang by the PUer after the collision ... I think we will see the same next week... go after our players physically

LOL. What a joke. You are really grasping for straws if you ask me. If anything he helped Aaron White stay upright. Minimal contact at best and nothing malicious in any way. Also, with all of the talk about White going down, nobody wanted to mention that Stephens played very little and was rendered useless with his pinky subluxation. Unfortunately, that could be a huge factor in our upcoming battle this week. Let's hope he's healthy so we can have a dog fight in Mackey.
