Pubs trounce Dems

In congressional baseball game 10-0. A prelude to November Midterms.
How in the world were you able to restrain yourself from mentioning Linda Sanchez flipping off the GOP dugout?
I figured that would send you into both paroxysms of anger and ecstasy.

Pubs also pwned those disabled vets. Screw them!

Oh look, a UK POS criminal

Some 50 years ago the local Indianapolis Dem and Pub politicians played a softball game before a Indianapolis Indian game. In those days the Pubs controlled all the county offices except for a few seats on the city council.

The Dems put more effort into the game as they were anxious to win something. The feisty Ann Delaney (current member of the WFWI Indiana Week in Review cast) exemplified the Dem determination. As the Dem pitcher she raced off the mound and dove for ground balls as if she was the only player in the infield.

The Dem players were scolded by their manager before the game for wearing wrist watches. "This is serious baseball, not a night at the office", the team was told.

Rozelle Boyd who was the first Black council member in the city's history played center field. Boyd who was known for his intellect wasn't an athlete accustomed to playing any sports. Consequently he took an extremely deep position in center field especially for a softball player. So deep his back was almost against the wall. Much to everyone's surprise Boyd snagged a short fly just beyond second base for the third out. Turned out Boyd had left his position prematurely thinking the third out had occurred and arrived just in time.

Boyd passed away a few days ago at the age of 88 having served 44 years on the city council (1965 to 2004).
