PU vs NW

Geezzzzz NW cannot rebound at all.

Collins just got a T. Complaining about a touch foul.

Lot of calls against NW in this game.
The B1G has gotten the word down to the Refs.....
Protect the upper teams in the league for their NCAA Tourney Seeding.

I know that I've seen one Air Ball from Carson Edwards in this game. And I'm pretty sure there was a second AB from a Purdue player as well.

Haarms is appropriately named. He fouls on every play. I don't think I've ever seen him set a legal screen. He pushes off like crazy. His arms are always flailing. He loves to lower his shoulder. He jumps onto the shoulder of players who are driving. He frequently elbow drops as he goes over the back. Won't last 10 min if they don't have B10 refs in the tourney....

Replying to myself here..... but....... by the end of the game Edwards had proven himself and I can't really hammer on his now. :(

OK..... what I noticed about Haarms today.... when someone is posting on him and they are taking their shot.... he does stay vertical with his arms. His arms are always coming down cause he is trying to block the shot.

If I were an opposing coach..... I'd be in the Ref's ears all game long about that.

Pu has won a share Of the BIG regular season, but this has been completely overshadowed by IU's resurgence. Their fans are enraged, should be interesting.

Generally I think you are reasonable, and yes I'm sure in the Indy Star that may be the case, but I promise you winning the B1G this year after graduating 4 great seniors last year is very sweet and I hardly think of IU's resurgence as anything encouraging or discouraging or even as a "resurgence".....probably just the law of averages evening things out for them. Nobody thinks Purdue is Duke this year, but it has been a fun team to watch because they like each other, play for each other, play their roles and win games.

You, are also welcome.

All the quibbling about Haarms fouling, Phinisee being better, Edwards shooting too much, Cline and Eifert needing to shoot more is really irrelevant as Purdue has won two of the last three B10 titles and finished second last year after a bad loss to a weak Wisconsin team in Madison at the end of the season cost Purdue the B10 Championship.

And heeeeeere they come...searching for validation from IU grads and fans.

@arcb102000 @New Pal Boiler and @hunkgolden @TwinDegrees2 must be slithering back as we speak.

Remember that PU had no interest in Rob. X (can't recall his name) is better.

Don't get so worked up over what one poster or two said lol. It's says right on rivals that Purdue had interest in Rob. Just like IU had interest in some of Purdue's players. It's all there in black and white.

All credit to PU. Even with another sweet 16 flameout this will be amongst the best seasons in their history...

There were many of those. They took a better player...can't remember his name? Ronnie maybe?

That wasn't my question, I was asking which players chose PU over IU as you posted.

There are plenty of players that had offers to both schools. If a recruit early on leans one way and the team he is showing less interest to backs off that doesn't mean the school didn't WANT him (although that is usually how fanboys spin it).

Without searching through 20 years of the database, I know IU wanted Swanigan. And next years commit Brandon Newman. (for example)
