through all the coach hire drama, there is still a game being played tonight

A win tonight pushes us into the upper half of conf standings. Nothing to be proud of, but considering 7-10 days ago we were talking about missing the B1G tourney, it's worth noting.

Lundari now has us in his first 4 out (last week it was 2nd four out) while Palm still has us in the 'first 4 in" / 11 seed.
Lundari also has OSU as in the first 4 with bye (ie the first 4 above the 'first 4 in') due to their much higher NET rating (35). That senior day game vs OSU is shaping up to be rather important for both teams.

Northwestern's win caused them to leapfrog us in the NET.

Playing well, and winning big, would help, though... They're still a dangerous type of team, for us. So I suspect the game will be closer than it should be. I could easily see their perimeter players spreading us out, and going off from the 3, and them beating us.

We'll see how "real" that 2nd half performance was, I guess.

tonight is an absolute "cannot afford to lose" game. A win does little for our NET and chances, but a loss will tank it. We don't really have any 'bad' losses (all of our L's are Q1 games), but losing at home to PSU would be a bad loss, at the worst time.

The only remaining game that we could really afford a loss in would probably be the road Oregon game, although a win there would be huge for our chances.

That UO seems too high, given IU's defensive improvement recently, and PSU's offense being meh.

MGM is down to 149.5. Prolly should shop it, but I'm too busy.

I'm worried about a letdown, but not because of the Purdue game. Letdowns are the one thing this team is good at and they don't need a reason to have one.

Blissfully unaware! Ignorance is bliss. I'm far more interested in the tailrace fishery I just discovered just over an hour from me that has trout and stripers in it, and most likely smallies too I would guess! Can't wait to go check it out! Might be taking my neighbor that way soon!

ok just stop it, I'm trying to work!.....fishing outlets and dam tailwaters is my favorite. Find right spot at the right time, and it like shooting 'em in a barrel.

my fav spot up north is that way...late May, creek empties in WI River....nice big hole there at the mouth....smallies and walleye stacked up 10 high. Then come back in a month, and it's the dead sea.
