Id love to see a breakdown of the possessions immediately following a timeout from the Illinois game tonight.

Also from the UL game too.
Those are the two games I attended...that’s why Im choosing just those two.

Any of you stat gurus know where to find it, or better yet post it?

We are not very good. Not impressed with Lil’ Archie.
Over here in Dayton, I was very impressed with execution of Archie's play after timeouts. Of course that was subjective.

Defenses are tougher in the B1G. And it will take a little time to get Archie's recruited team in place with a little seasoning.

But agree with the OP. Would be interesting to see the analysis.

So far, I'm happy with Archie Miller.

Not all time outs are about offense. May be about defense, which nobody seems to be talking about, or inbounding the ball under pressure, or breaking a press, or just stopping momentum. If you look at the body of work last night they responded after a slow start. Turned up the defense. Had some shakey moments towards the end but didn't fold. Somebody deserves some credit.

Thats why Id like to see a breakdown...Im developing a negative perception that may not be necessarily deserved.

The UL game we come out of a timeout after Romeo fouls on a 3 pointer...up 4 and Juwan almost fouls at the buzzer on a 3 to win by 1...2 boneheaded plays, 1 the exact same error that was committed prior to the timeout. Did dont foul when up by 4 on a 3 pointer not even get mentioned?

The Butler game we win on a buzzer beater out of a busted play out of the timeout that seemed like a very limited option on the designed play.

Last night we come out of a timeout and seemed to not know that we are on a shortened shot clock...

Last night we also come out of a timeout and cant recall if 10 sec call or a turnover from seeming completely shocked and unprepared for Illinois going to a press...

I think we committed 3 turnovers immediately following timeouts...

we = Indiana Hoosiers, for the wiseguys crew...

What gets lost sometimes is when we call a timeout to plan a play, the other team is also getting a timeout to plan a stop.
Is that a positive or a negative comment towards IU coming out of timeouts???

Neither. Just when we (IU Basketball) call a timeout it isn't all about us and what we want to do. Other team gets chance to plan and react accordingly. Team calling the timeout doesn't necessarily have the advantage. Hence the traditional RMK strategy regarding timeouts..

A young team dealing with injuries starts 3-0 in the B10 and has a little rust after 11 days off with the starting PG out. Time for the panic button!!!!!!
