I think Indy should have a bowl...

Get a sponsor with ties to the state .... like Red Gold

and call it... The Not Yet Famous Red Gold Tomato Bowl !! ....or Ketchup Bowl,...or Catsup Bowl.... or,...

I am not sure how the money is provided for these bowls but I would think as long as these bowl games keep losing attendance and select players they will undergo a big change in the coming years along with other concerns such sponsorship decline and reduction of tv money.

I’ve wondered for years why IMS doesn’t sponsor a bowl game in Indy to bring attention to the 500 and their other events at a time of year when racing is dead.

ESPN owns the majority of the bowl games and it’s relatively cheap programming for them. Ticket sales and attendance overall are not a major factor in the balance sheet for these bowl games

Most bowls require a minimum number of tickets the schools have to guarantee. Most schools lose money going to a bowl
