There's not a single player on this roster that will make or break anyone's future. I like BT and I think he could be a terrific player and already has some skills that many don't have (mid-range game), but he's not THAT kid.
LIke him a ton, but this is going to be an off-season of turmoil and turnover. I think there's a grouping between he, Reanu, Mbako, Rice, Carlyle, Cupps, Newton, etc.. that could make a nice core for someone new to build around, but in all likelihood this is going to be a rebuild on the scale of UK/UL. Doubtful 1 guy makes that big a difference.
He's got a really nice game and he's a freshman. Kid is only going to get better. And he will improve by playing more. Never said he'll make the all american team or even big 10 team but he has potential. Leal and Galloway have been here 5 years with not much to show for it. Again, they seem like great kids but when our 5th year senior misses the front end of a 1 and 1 to put the game out of reach it's time to look at the future.

He is too limited he cannot hit three pointers. Sounds like he is already talking to other schools for next year anyway . A new coach should be able to bring in his own players and honestly this whole thing needs to rebuilt from the ground up. I really don't want any of them back honestly as the program is currently a mess.
Yep. Total reboot. If the new coach wants to keep anyone (and he well may), that's his call but nothing is guaranteed.
I get it, but I also think a good coach makes them into totally different types of players. I've seen some tools with Rice, Mbako, Carlyle and Tucker. I've also seen a ton of inconsistent and poor play that I think most good coaches would not stand for and could coach out of players. Like I said, I think we're in for a big turnover and I think it's not going to make a difference in the outcome next year. But, if any of these guys stick around, I'd expect them to look different than what we've seen this year.

It dont mater who we put on the floor the coach will find a way to turn it into a shit show. This roster has talent a good coach would have us rolling Woodson can't coach needs to go until then be ready for disappointment.
will be interesting to see, if CMW is gone, which from that core group stays and goes. All those rumors late last season about mass exodus and nothing major happened. I think it's going to be far more dramatic this spring.
btw how in the hell is Jerome Hunter still playing college ball? Isn't this his 7th yr?
The mass exodus did not happen because Woodson was given 6 million dollars to overpay alot of them to stay. I am pretty darn sure at least several of them would have left without massive NIL salary increases. Nobody was going to pay them what IU( simon scott ) was paying. I mean name one school willing to pay leal 400k and galloway 500k other than IU.
Are those numbers real? I’m old as dirt, but can still shoot it better than those 2. Gimme 2 fitty, and I’ll lace’m up!….
I'm guessing Gallo and Leal received a nice pay bump by supporting Bigfoot on Senior Day. I surely hope those guys didn't do it for free.

She’s downright virginal compared to the one that did a thousand. But ya know a claim of 1000 in 12 hours sounds dubious. There are 720 minutes in 12 hours so like 40 seconds per deed is humping it.

If there was an open auction for Leal and Galloway then the winning bid way way under a million$ NIL. That was stupid money and when stupid money something else involved like sucking up to a self absorbed loser coach looking to retain his job at senior night.
Good point-embarrassing yourself with that ridiculousness deserved ridiculous compensation from Woodson.
The story was Bill Frieder, while Michigan’s coach, was banned from casinos for Blackjack card counting and he claimed it helped his recruiting. That may be why Trey was Blackjacking before the game in the Bahamas. It was all about basketball.

There was a lot of talk around Galloway having heavy interest from other programs... Seem to recall talk of KU and maybe UCONN showing interest?
he wouldn't get 10 min/game at KU. Also....that was based on his play up to the end of last year. He's a different player this year, and not for the better. While I have no issues talking about the shit play of the team, I really don't like calling out players by name. But he's getting paid big money now, for very modest results. I guess it's fair game in the new era of NIL and hired gun mercenary ball.
Right. When do you think his NIL deal was struck? You think he didn't have a deal in place to say what he said at Senior night?
who really gives a shit if Galloway is making 2 cents or 2 million. the real problem you have with NIL after this season is going to be agents. Woodson has burned some bridges trying to juggle to many promises. might be a good thing at the end of the day

spring time smallie fishing getting closer.....counting the days until spring wins the battle over winter.
If it weren't for Hurricane Helene, I'd be out trying for a musky this month! Be interesting to see what the effect is on fish populations in affected areas. The French Broad and Nolichucky were great musky fisheries down here and they were crushed. So much focus on rebuilding the areas around the rivers, I've not seen any information or studies on what was in the rivers.
yeah was wondering about that. could not be a good thing for the local fisheries. who knows where those fish ended up......dying in a muddy pool in the forest? When I lived in Indiana and the Wabash would flood, there would be pods of carp stuck in big puddles out in the farmers' fields once the waters receded. Can't imagine what a thousand year flood would do to local musky fishery but I'm betting it isn't a net positive.
in the mean time, come on down to SWFLA and do a little snook fishing. Amazingly fun!
They actually are native in many of the larger mountain rivers down here in NC: Nolichucky, French Broad, New although I believe now they are all from stockings. They were caught and removed from many as pests eating the "good" fish. But, those are mountain rivers and even though they aren't at super high elevations, they are fed by many trout streams with cold water. The French Broad up around Asheville has musky, smallies, walleye, freshwater drum... and even trout in it's upper reaches around Rosman. I visit a town called Hot Springs downriver from Asheville and there's a trout stream that runs through town and the French Broad on the edge of town so it's fun because you can trout fish in the stream and musky/smallie fish in the river. One day I was paddling down the river with my son and saw about an 18" rainbow in the river in summertime, which is way too warm for trout, but I realized he was hanging right where a small creek fed in and I felt the water and sure enough it felt 20 degrees cooler. I don't think the state of SC stocks musky anywhere but they have a state record from the Broad/Green River which flows out of NC and into SC.
Wow. That’s really neat. I didn’t even think about rivers at higher elevations in NC. I have never fished for Musky but just pike. It looks like a lot of fun.
I see your point entirely. I’ll say though, with Galloway and Leal, they’ve absolutely hit their ceiling. We know who they are. I can’t say the same thing about Tucker. That alone is worth exploring. But also, this team isnt going to win or compete for much of anything this season, so i think it’s better to start investing into next year. Start with Tucker, and either find out if he has the minerals or not. And if not, feel fine in letting him move on.
