The Purdue Sucks statement was at IUMBB game. He was introduced at halftime as new coach. I was there. The crowd was subdued with no enthusiasm. He said Purdue Sucks and so does OSU and Michigan. The crowd went nuts.

I heard an interview later where he said he went overboard but he felt he had to fire up the crowd.

Someone had to. The basketball team sure couldn't.

These kids now get paid to play, so the best way to not get shown up on your home field is to win. I'm usually one to say let the win do the talking, but in either case flag plant or not take your medicine. Ryan Day is a bitch and I'm glad it happened to his team.

Makes more sense in context. Texas and Oklahoma play on a neutral field taking the flag to midfield isn’t a big deal in that case. Doing it on an opponent’s home field is very different. There will be a scuffle or brawl every time.

I don't agree with a lot that goes on in sports today.... just play the game. We don't need a dance or chest pounding after every tackle or touchdown.

Storming the court, tearing down goal posts or putting flags in the middle of the field it is all part of the game now. Kids can toughen up and adjust. The pro's are the worst with their flaunting of interceptions and dancing after a TD, game has changed (I'm not saying for the good, but here we are) so adjust man up and shut them up with your play.

Reportedly Urban Meyer has said he's open to returning to coaching OSU.

I have no idea how that plays out, but if OSU gets blown out in a first round playoff game, I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen.
