He wants the best chance to win another National Championship. Between April and when he decides to retire, he would be very likely to do that at Indiana. He's on record as saying his time at St.Johns has been the least enjoyable of his career. [Ep 2, St.Johns on Vice]. I would like to have 4-6 years of a lot of winning. Then we can see who he recommends as his successor.

Last chance for this to happen was in 2021.

maybe hire Slick now, and then 3-4 yrs later when he retires, Brad's girl is in school at ND and wife is ready to come home.
Win-win-win. And a whole lot of winning all around.

not gonna happen. but would be awesome. Just keep those table tops clean at Mother Bears after closing hours...you never know.

If Beard is a no-hire, then surely Pitino is.

Those are my top 2 guys. I don't think anyone I consider a serious effort to return to greatness can pass the moral standards at IU.

I'm old. I spent a decade in juco and d2. All of these coaches have done fd up shit. You have to be insane and a conman to make it to the top of D1 coaching AND sustain it.

None of the presumed salts of the earth are coming here. That's why we should hire an openly gay man. That's a statement.

You would be correct.
