He made an interesting comment that he wanted a coach to help him become a better player and was miffed when, after sophomore year, Cream came to him and asked if he wanted to be a manager instead.

Pretty telling. I don't think it is all that surprising to see a 7'0" guy putting up double doubles with a little hard work and coaching.

Why hasn't he changed his name? Lol

CTC never fails to surprise me. It was wrong of CTC to ask Peter Jurkin that. CTC had no idea how happy Peter Jurkin Was living out his dream. CTC ruined the program with his "movement." CAM definitely is not anything like CTC. I heard from a reliable source that should the uofl job come open, CTC will get a serious look at the gig. I hope this to be true. CTC unbearable as an analyst.

LOL, Tardville deserves a coach like Coach Clappy......At least he does have a Final Four on his Resume.....

Remember when the Crean cult followers swore the guy was holier than the pope? And would never ask kids to leave. Those kids just didn’t want to work hard enough!
I had heard that story, but thought for sure the source was pulling my leg. Can’t say it really surprises me, though.

He's averaging 8 points and 5 rebounds for the season against pretty bad competition. Not exactly a double double machine. I'm not exactly certain what your point is. But if this is yet another post by someone dredging up the past just to attack CTC, then this is a royal fail. It's time to move on. Our coach is CAM. The future looks bright. No need to dwell in the past.

Coach Knight told Landon Turner to turn pro because he could not play for him. What is the difference? If coaches are paid well to win big then their job is on the line if they bring in a player who can't play to the level that is needed. As someone said below Jurkin is averaging 8 and 5 as a 25 yr old Senior against lower level competition. This means he never should have even been offered a spot on our roster. It's a cold hard fact, but it's true. I hope he does well in life.
