Pete Hegseth Secretary of Defense

Love this guy. Strong strong thumbs up. Smart. Tough. Common sense. No woke bullshit. No ties to Lockheed etc. Guy is flat out awesome. If he pulls a swig now and again so be it. He’ll be better buzzin than most sober. This is how I picture a young @DANC

You’re damn right senator from Missouri. He is a breath of fresh air. And thank you again sir for taking my daughter’s mask off 💪
These sanctimonious assholes. I loved the Senator who asked why Senators who didn't show up drunk on the floor of the Senate weren't asked to resign - because he said they all knew who had.

Young DANC had never had a drink before he joined the military, but he was a quick learner....

Espionage work is not for the faint of heart. Sometimes you need a drink. Much thanks as always

Yes. It's like turning off a light. It happens quickly.

One minute you're getting the eye from the ladies and then next it's like you're not even in the room. I can see why old guys act pissed all the time.

@mcmurtry66 as an example, I was in the drive-up line at McDonald's for my morning oatmeal and Coke Zero in back of an old guy in his faux vintage T-Bird that was popular 10 or 15 years ago. Problem was, he wasn't moving. He was screwing around and either not moving or creeping. Both our windows were down (this was in Florida last week) and I said something like, "Jesus, get going". I heard him say Fvck You, you old bastard. I laughed at him.

I thought of nudging him with my car, but those old people are armed in Florida!

5 sets of 47.
No further questions sir
That sealed the nomination right there. Enough with the portly political brass with their chest full of ribbons and medals they didn’t earn. Give me the guy who can bang out 250 push ups in his hotel room and then walk into a hearing and clown posturing senators.

Look at Milley:

Look at Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower

Where in the hell did Milley get all those ribbons and medals? Who’s ass did he lick for them? Why does he have more than the most notable general in American history?

Participation trophies like you read about.

It's a very simple answer. Many of those devices and ribbons didn't exist in WWII. There was no Vietnam war to serve in. No Korean conflict. No Gulf War 1 or 2. No Afghanistan. They didn't yet have the jump badge or ranger tabs or the DoD badge. If you weren't so quick to attempt (badly) to smear another veteran who accomplished far more than you have or ever will, you might have been capable of figuring this out on your own. ****ing dipstick.

Actually, Ike had way more awards than that. Just ran out of room to wear all the ribbons at the same time.

Look at any WWII flag officer and you'll see fewer ribbons/medals and devices than a flag officer (or any officer or enlisted) of today because they didn't exist, and certain conflicts (which come with campaign medals/ribbons) hadn't happened yet. I went to an "In Harm's Way" party on Ford Island a couple of times and the military could only wear ribbons, medals and devices that only existed in WWII. About the only device that existed was Aviator Wings (my Surface Warfare Insignia didn't exist yet - not sure about Submariner insignia, but I don't recall seeing it) and I had only one ribbon/medal that existed at that time.

Grant had fewer ribbons/medals than Eisenhower did too.

That was just an ignorant post that doesn't deserve to be taken seriously.

Ike probably had more foreign awards that just about any American general in history, though.

So. Throughout the years we’ve picked up a lot more participation trophies to help you guys look snazzy in your dress uniforms?

Yes, he got a lot of those from allies. Saudi Arabia wanted to give us medals for Desert Shield and Desert Storm which contained actual gold, but the US told them they had to take the gold out of the ones we actually got.

STFU, dipstick. I've told you before that I'm not going to engage with you on subjects you are totally ignorant about. You're totally ignorant about this one. Your attempt to smear someone far more accomplished than you failed miserably. Move along.

So rude.

Milley is perhaps the single most accomplished general in U.S. history when it comes to playing political grab ass and being an obsequious little shit.

Pure ignorance. I have never understood how you think your opinion on matters of which you're totally ignorant are worth spewing on the WC. Can you explain that? If not, just STFU.

As Pete pointed out today, we won WW2 with 7 Four Star Generals. Today we have 44.

What is that if not bloat, undeserved accolades, participation trophies run amok in the armed forces?

Too many credentials, too many accolades, to many badges. You want that, join the Boy Scouts. Or the gender neutral scouts as I think they’re known today.
