Across the board it seems TEs are getting taller. We are seeing more and more that could play power forward in basketball be TEs in college. Tall TEs that can run and catch the ball make big money in the NFL.

There have been NFL TEs drafted that were power forwards in college. If Thompson would choose that path I couldn't see why he couldn't make the move.

Antonio Gates went undrafted out of Kent State since NBA scouts didn’t think he could make it as a 6’4” power forward.

Worked out pretty good for the Chargers, so it’s not too crazy
