I would expect them to go hard after Bryant Haines. He played at Ball State.
Ball State can’t pay him anywhere near as much as he makes at IU.I would expect them to go hard after Bryant Haines. He played at Ball State.
It's not always about money. I have no doubt we can offer him more to stay. Maybe he wants to be a Head Coach at his Alma Mater. That said I hope he stays. Ball State is a tough place to win at even in the MAC.Ball State can’t pay him anywhere near as much as he makes at IU.
Would he want to be a HC? Better there than at Temple.Ball State can’t pay him anywhere near as much as he makes at IU.
It was reported the salary pool for assistant coaches was increased substantially.I'm purely guessing, but would bet on all or most of our 'big three' assistants building their experience and resumes another few years at a really nice level of pay.
Then with nice bank, banked, less risk to them to go be head men.
None of them are 'now or never' age.
Hope Bostad, Owings, Adams, etc ALL get sweet increases. Can't really notice a glaring weakness in any areas so far. Incredible.

Yea. it’s something he’ll have to deal with at some point and probably a good sign that our coordinators are high level. It helps he now has a lot of $ to hire a replacement when the time comes. My only concern with CCC is since most of his assistants have been with him for several years, if they leave will be be able to replace them at the same level.

I mentioned this before, but Cigs DC prior to Haines is the DC at MN. Got to think now that they inked this new deal he would have a good chance at getting him ito come aboard if Haines takes a new job. I’m pretty sure our defense won’t miss a beat. Offensively, we still have Tino. Cig also has the ability to attract high level coaches and has built many relationships over his years of coaching. I am sure he has a fat Rolodex of candidates, I think we are good.My only concern with CCC is since most of his assistants have been with him for several years, if they leave will he be able to replace them at the same level.

When you go back to look at his careers at Elon and JMU, Cig didn’t take his coordinators with him from Elon (although the OC was promoted to head coach upon Cig’s departure). His first coordinators at JMU were Shane Montgomery, former Miami OH head coach and his DC was Corey Heatherman, who is now the DC at Minnesota. Then Shanahan was promoted to OC in the 3rd season at JMU when Montgomery left. Then in the 4th season, Haines was promoted to DC when Heatherman left for Rutgers. My only concern with CCC is since most of his assistants have been with him for several years, if they leave will he be able to replace them at the same level.
