Anybody else think he might not know what no love lost means? He literally might mean it to say that none of his love for Indiana is lost...he might just be unfamiliar with the saying.
That’s how I read it, yes.Anybody else think he might not know what no love lost means? He literally might mean it to say that none of his love for Indiana is lost...he might just be unfamiliar with the saying.
This occurred to me too. He's 18 years old. He might have meant it literally, and is unaware of the colloquial meaning.Anybody else think he might not know what no love lost means? Why he wouldn't want to play for our RB coach that has coached very good RBs in the NFL is beyond me. I get that he was recruited by coach McCollough but doesn't want to play for another NFL coach that has coached such good RBs.He's gone, who cares what his statement meant to him or the IU community. Hope the grass is truly greener somewhere else for him, lots of times it isn't.
Could be he sized up the competition and decided to leave. Why he wouldn't want to play for our RB coach that has coached very good RBs in the NFL is beyond me. I get that he was recruited by coach McCollough but doesn't want to play for another NFL coach that has coached such good RBs.
Did he make his decision before the new guy was announced? I don’t know. Why he wouldn't want to play for our RB coach that has coached very good RBs in the NFL is beyond me. FedEx..What happened to the good old days of recruiting when Kentucky Basketball sent packages of currency to parents and relatives of recruits, and only got caught when a package busted open at a UPS Facility.
Will follow McCullough to NDUnless he and the new RB coach just did not get on in their conversations, I struggle to understand this one.
The RB room figures to be pretty much wide open for this year, and I find it hard to believe there are many schools, especially at the P5 level, who still have room for a 2022 recruit with both signing days already having past, and most of them having been working the transfer portal for quite a while now.
Don’t see that, ND needs coach sign off, this kid was injured senior year. I will only believe this when I see it.Will follow McCullough to ND
I think the lack of communication Payne talked about had to do with IU not getting a replacement RB coach for a couple of weeks. Recruits can panic wondering who will replace the coach and what type of RB that new coach wants. Many people aren't very patient, especially when they are just 18 years old.I think that's the sort of thing that happens when you have turnover at the coach/recruiter level. Maybe they didn't communicate a ton with him after the changes were made and he wasn't getting the one on one time he got prior? Could be just as simple as the guy who has been telling you how bad he wanted you on the team, what his plans were for you, what you need to work on is suddenly gone and you aren't getting that kind of feedback anymore.
He is visiting next weekend and ND offeredNot happening.

Good RBs are a dime a dozen and there are tons out there.... (jsenleo edit)

Committed to NDPer his Twitter account
Well this hurts, sucks but what should we expect it’s IU football
Josh Adam’s, Dexter Williams, Tony Jones jr and this year Kyren Williams are the last 4 feature backs all are or will be in nflOn ND commitment, good luck to him, ND hasn't exactly been a factory turning out NFL running backs. Bet he's in the portal in a couple of years. Not sure he understands what "committment" means.
