Pacers just can’t get over the HUMP tonight. Nm

I was a second or two behind on the telecast, I saw the final on my phone BEFOFE dude missed the FT. I knew they were winning, just didn’t know how!! Hahaha!!

I was surprised they reviewed that. Wasn’t close.

And the non-flagrant on Mitchell. That’s almost always a flagrant.

Pacers were not supposed to win tonight.
I would like to know how they justified that as a "basketball move" when a Flagrant was called on Mathurin for trying to poke the ball and missing. It's interpretive crap like that makes me no fully invest in the NBA.

Yep. It’s a built in loophole to use at, whosever, discretion. He cleared space, which is the norm whenever someone does it. They wanted to remove that from the game (well, usually).

That’s why the reply needs to go away in my opinion. Over and over I watch a basketball move that’s gets shown over and over in slow motion and damn if they don’t come up with a flagrant.

Back to the Piston Bad Boy days. Take to the hole and you get hammered. Bunch of pussies now.

You are correct.

It makes me think the NBA refs are really just Big Ten refs holding down second jobs in the off season.

The Pistons were a bunch of thugs and their downfall was great for the NBA.

Don’t know there was some great downfall. They had their heyday, got old, guys retired and moved on.

I didn’t root for the Pistons except for Zeke against the Bulls.

I do believe these stoppage of plays to look if during a rebound someone’s head got in the way of an elbow is ludicrous.

Remember when Meters Leonard from Illinois sneakily tripped Cody Zeller at half court as they were running back after a change of possession? The refs didn’t see it. The very next rebound Cody bloodied his face bring down a rebound. He didn’t fling his elbows wildly. He just brought the ball down perfectly for an elbow to crash into Leonard’s nose. Leonard never tripped him again in their college careers.

From high school through college I watched “nice guy” Cody Zeller be an enforcer without ever getting a foul. In today’s pussy world, he would have been ejected from the Illinois game.

In the 4th quarter, Nesmith also hit a couple 3's and had 3-4 outstanding defensive plays to keep the Pacers in it.

Everyone will remember Halliburton's last second shot, but Halliburton's shot would not have mattered unless Nesmith had played like that.
Turner made a great play popping the rebound loose to give Halliburton his chance.

Need 8 points, quick?

No problem...

its hard when all donovan jordan has to do is drive in the lane and gets a call everytime
It felt like the refs said since the Cavs are missing 3 players, we need to do what we can to help them out. There were at least 2 calls in the first half where a Pacer player never touched the Cavs shooter and a foul was called.
Big game Friday back in Indy!!!

The Pacers had 8 or 9 turnovers in the first quarter and I’m pretty sure they got whacked on every one of them. Not a single call. Officiating sometimes makes these games difficult to watch. I’m probably biased, but the Pacers play the most beautiful brand of basketball in the league. Great passing and ball movement without ISO’s and bully ball that most teams employ.

Here are the Pacers five starters scoring averages in this year's playoffs: 18.4, 18.3, 17.1, 16.3, 15.9.

That has to be the most balanced scoring starting 5 in NBA playoff history. Everyone contributes. Rarely any hero ball (though Hali will do it in a pinch!)

It is remarkable. The balanced offense Carlisle is using is ideal. Throw in the incredibly strong pacer bench/2nd unit, and it’s no wonder the Pacers keep getting last second comeback wins. The depth is incredible, and the opponents are simply wearing down at the end of games, which allows the Pacers to effectively make one final push over the finish line. With heroics of course.
