pacers in purgatory

Problem for the pacers is turner is a free agent after the season. Unless he accepts a lower salary due to not many teams out there with cap space that need a center, we will likely be stuck having to lose other players to keep Turner.

Turner's best years are probably behind him. Is keeping him worth losing other pieces? Especially given that centers aren't as important as they once were.
Turner's been great for us but if he wants to go, that's probably what will happen for the reasons you stated.

Personally, I think Turner is the second most important player they have and criminally underrated in general.

He’s not a great rebounder, but he gives you elite shot blocking, rim protection, and 3 point shooting.

I’m a big fan of his and I hope he retires here.
 
He could sign a bigger deal somewhere else but right now is part of a very cohesive team that is winning big. Maybe the latter matters more to him. He’s played his entire career here and is very involved in the community.

Yes but I believe his home is in Texas.
