Pacer game tonight was incredible

Maybe the last time was Reggie Miller's 8 points in 8.9 seconds vs. the Knicks on May 7, 1995, and the reason why they didn't go back 30 years. 30 years ago! Damn, I'm old....
I was so disgusted I flipped the TV off not long before Reggie went off. I couldn't stand the pain of losing that important game that I felt we should have won.

TV was off maybe 10 seconds and I thought 'nope, this fan is going down with my team!' and flipped it back on, just in time to see Reggie releasing the second 3 pointer. I had no idea what had happened except seeing that shot go up.

Taught me a lesson, lol.

You weren't alone. Pacers president Donnie Walsh said that he left the game and his seat and was stewing in his office over the loss. Mel Daniels came and told him. He didn't believe it at first. "Mel, stop shitting me, I'm in no mood for this."

One factor to consider is that, outside of Donovan Mitchell, the Cavs have no real playoff experience. The Pacers, while still a young team, have quite a bit now, having had their entire current roster make it to the ECF last year, and Siakim is a proven playoff performer and NBA champion. It's not completely illogical for the Pacers to get by the Cavs. Now, Boston again as a likely ECF opponent? Not as much of a given, although even in last year's ECF sweep, the Pacers were in every game heading to the final minute, Haliburton was hurt throughout and outright missed two of the games, and Mathurin off the bench was injured and didn't play at all. The Pacers have as good of a shot as any, honestly.

I think that was 6 points instead of 7 anyway. The 8 points gave the Pacers the lead by 2 after he hit two free throws.
Just rewatched it.

Ahhh, never gets old. (I do though... I remembered it being at home, for a bit.)

Reggie had the final 8 points, two 3 pointers, then Starks missed two free throws almost immediately, with the game tied. Reggie was fouled on the rebound, Reggie hit both free throws with 7.9 seconds left. Knicks failed to score. Game ovah!

Inbounds to Reggie was with 18.7, free throws at 7.9 so 8 points in 10.8 seconds. A second or two less if you count when his first three goes thru.

Prior to Reggie's blitz, the Knicks missed a free throw but got the offensive rebound. That's when the f bombs started to fly as I left the room.

Terrible decision by the Pacers front office tonight to ban Haliburton’s dad from the Fieldhouse . Unless Tyrese actually wanted this WTF are they thinking?

terrible decision to walkout on the court and challenge a player, would be willing to bet the NBA had a say in it also. where did you see he was banned and for how long?

It’s being reported by the Indianapolis star!
You sure do have a learning disability.

they just don't quit, Haliburton is 1 of the few people I could actually draw, looks like a stick figure, Myles turner runs like 1 of his legs is 3 inches longer than the other, Mcconnel is a 6 2 white guy scoring in the paint. Siakam doesn't look right looks unathletic as hell. Nembhard and Nesmith were basically cast offs yet as a group they find a way.

probably get swept by Cleveland, they may just be too talented. but Carlise has done an amazing job with this team, and they are fun as hell to watch.

what happened with Giannis and Mathurin after the game, starting to think Mathurin might be a knucklehead, win with class and show respect.

Haliburton played a perfect game. But Doyel just jinxed us w his article, I swear/

No need to joke about that stuff. I've got a little girl w one and she and others don't need to hear shit from internet warriors like you, lucy.

what's you deal? what if kurt does have one? just trying to cut him deep, or just humiliate?

you need to self reflect, bud.

Called it. All the cynics in the national media leading up to this series can suck it.

Stealing game one puts the Pacers in a great position for this series w the Cavs. Now, if they can do it again in game two, look out. I don’t think it’s out of the question at all. The Pacers are very good.
