fans seem to be, hope the team is not, Michigan still full of 4 and 5-star talent all over the field. need to be taken seriously no matter what their record is.

I’m not overconfident. This is the best team Indiana has ever had. They are legit Top 10 and a threat to beat any team in the nation. Great play design. Great play calling. Great understanding and execution by the players. The defense is disruptive and complimentary and each player tackles well.
We are hard to play against - the best kind of team.
Michigan cannot score enough to stay in the game, and their defense can’t stop us consistently.
We may not get our average win margin of 32, but Michigan will leave knowing we were the better team.

This is where I fall on this. If Indiana goes up two scores, they'll win by 100. Michigan needs a score and a pick six and to muck the game up and hold on. There is no way they can play catch-up on us.
I don’t think it is “overconfidence” as much as it is just being impressed by our performances and not that impressed by UMs. Keep in mind they had 4 & 5 stars during the COVID year when we last won pretty big with a team that’s not even as good as this one. They always have them. Yes, we could lose this game if the coaches and players get overconfident and don’t prepare as well, but not if this team remains focused. This team hasn’t been all that streaky and has consistently overall performed exceptionally well. Yes, the MSU game didn’t start off well, but they proved why this team is different than any we have ever seen. I admit I was worried about overconfidence and people hyping this team more than deserved after the NW game, but since then this team has proven by what they are putting on film every week that this team is for real. Can Michigan come out and play a game like we haven’t seen them play all year? Absolutely! Is it likely? No. I feel good we will come away with a W if the team remains more locked in than the fans. 🙂
